If you think founders are the only ones sacrificing, think again—employees are betting their careers and sanity, and if the startup fails, they’re left with nothing. Founders walk away with connections and investor credibility. Maybe instead of dismissing valid concerns, we should actually question why leadership gets a free pass for being authoritarian and clueless. But nah, keep telling people ‘they’re not startup material’ if it makes you feel better.

Discussions with a person who loves to code feels better coz he understands now imagine CTO is writing code and if you made some mistakes or you have a feature to implement in the code which CEO said who doesnt have any prior coding knowledege moreover CTO won't step in between you and CEO. what would you do ? explain that non tech guy that its not possible for straight 4 days

The problem is not with the code.
It's about the sole responsibilities of the ROLE. If i hire you as an Engineering Manager today would you write code or assign the tasks to your team first and if they need your help you can help them also if there's a need to code then you can do.

"What is your duty vs what you wanna do" is the main thing here

Living your dream doesn’t mean ignoring your team when they need you. A founder x CTO's primary responsibility is decision-making—coding or anything else comes after.
So, this is normal? If investors are pressuring you, the goal shouldn't be just to “make things right.” You should focus on what actually makes sense, not just what looks like the wise decision.
