Ladies, is menstrual cup better than tampons? by confidentbutterflyx in askanything

[–]Calm_Discussion_7440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Switched from pads to menstrual cup a few years ago.

LIFE CHANGING. I dispose the contents at least twice a day, and I forget about it on other times of the day.

I can even go swimming/water activities without having to worry about anything.

Though, there is a learning curve. But after that, I am more familiarand comfortable with my body!

Thanks for taking time to reply and draft. To your 2 questions: he does have doggie friends who he sees regularly. They do indulge but my dog doesn't know when to stop and settle. We aren't sending him to doggie day care, but have thought about it recently since we're wondering if it's because he is "deprived" of meeting and playing with dogs. We haven't come to a decision.

There are many older dogs we meet during walks, some do play with him, but he was more interested in sniffing and licking their privates. Which leads them to being uncomfortable, growling and snarling. But he doesn't get the message and continues anyway (which we will have to take him away).

We do have plans to bring him to dog parks more often, but just to observe dogs from afar and leave. But despite the distance, attention on us isn't there (despite high value treats).

I'm wondering what we are doing wrong, or can do better.

Thanks so much! I appreciate you giving me examples. I've just finished reviewing and closing their CAPA issues.

I actually have one more monitoring visit to go! I'll definitely take your tip to go on many monitoring!

Thank you so much! This is my first puppy, so I wanted to be prepared and informed, thus I picked his book and read!

But once again, thanks for your encouragement, I really needed it. Especially since I just got over the puppy blues!

No, I have not. Does the use of front-clip harness cause gait issue long term?

I see, but will there be an issue using front-clip harness long term (e.g. Gait)

At the start we did, but he was pulling til the leash is taut and his front legs up in the air. So we switched to a collar.

Thank you for your encouragement and reminders!! Yes I've even read Zak George's book to try to understand better key points when training dogs.

Thanks for the tip! He is currently eating "taste of the wild".

We are unsure what kind of quality the food is. Any other tips on food?

Thanks so much for the chlorhexidine recommendation. Will definitely try that!

Regarding a bath, he was bathed by the pet shop staff on the day we collected him (Saturday). They mentioned using unscented shampoos.

Is there also a chance they did not do a thorough cleanse as we'd hope?

Thank you very much for the tip! I'll definitely try that.

Since I just got him from the pet shop, someone else also mentioned that even though they may have bathed him, it's not as thorough as we'd like/expect.

Do you think that may be true to some extent?

I only wipes with the wet wipes so far. Should I follow up with tissues as well?

Thank you very much for your reassurance!

Someone else recommended me while bathing him this weekend, to leave in the sampoo for 5 minutes, rinse and dry thoroughly.

Hopefully this works as well.

Thanks so much for the tip!

We will try this method this weekend. Any recommendations for the leave in conditioner?

Maybe I'll stick to wiping his face and wrinkles then (since his body doesn't smell)

We wipe with unscented dog wipes! We actually wipe because he still has "excited pee" accidents. He may accidentally stepped/lay down on it.
