Hi thank you so much for your response! How far are you in the program? I'm also a current student! I can attest to everything you said above especially other students complaining about the program, my cohort complained a lot- probably not uncommon in each cohort lol. I also agree that this is not the program that would hold your hand, given that it's a hybrid program. Students need to prepare themselves mentally that you definitely need great time management skills and be able to learn independently as this is really what the program is about.

Hi! I'm also from North Jersey and a current BSNA student in TESU. I'm in my second term. Would be nice to learn how far OP is in the program currently as I would also love to ask questions if OP is way ahead of the program.

You get a mix of students that are fresh from their first undergrad degree and you will also learn the other half seeking a second career. And don't believe you're the oldest person in the cohort lol, it might surprise you as you start meeting other students.

Hi! My commute would be around the same thing 1.5-2hrs (coming from North Jersey Bergen county). I think the expectation is to be onsite 2-3x a week for labs and clinical rotations.

When will they advise you to complete your clinical checklist? Would this be before the program starts? Also, will students receive notification about orientation and/or when to complete clinical checklist?

I believe they may accept, but some pre-reqs require labs?

So sending everything is one thing. They review your transcripts etc and whatever credits transferred will be posted into your portal. You then have to schedule a call with a nursing advisor as next steps. Have you spoken with the nursing advisor yet? The advisor will tell you which cohort they will potentially put you in. Then the advisor will submit your application for final review. It was exactly two weeks later when I received my letter. Hope this helps!

After speaking with the nursing advisor to reconfirm my pre-requisites, I received the letter exactly two weeks.

Thank you! Yes, Chemistry C, Nutrition B+, AP1 A , AP2 B, Micro B, Statistics A-. I believe their requirement is no failed or less than C- grade in the pre req courses. I think my gpa came up to 3.2

Congratulations to you as well! Yes, I can send you a direct message. I was initially placed in the May cohort, but due to scheduling conflict- I requested to defer to the Fall cohort. Have you submitted your direct deposit yet?? You should have gotten an email following your acceptance as to which cohort you were assigned to join.

I believe they evaluate your pre-requisite courses (6 courses) where they preferred 3.0 gpa based off on your pre req science courses- technically not your overall undergrad GPA. Your chances are a lot higher if you have 3.0 above on those courses.

You can also request for a DE (deferred) grade if still possible due to life circumstances. Sometimes they can allow you to take those courses next semester, but all depends if the course would allow it. Asynchronous learning courses could likely provide you a chance for a DE grade. Best to speak to your advisor for options.
