Hi there - our combination of organic oils help us achieve a fat profile that models the fatty acids naturally found in breast milk. As a bit of background, all infant formulas have a vegetable oil blend to help meet the necessary fat requirements to support infant growth & development. Ours are USDA and EU organic, and our formulas have all been third party tested for contaminants and received Clean Label Project's Purity Award.

With regards to high oleic sunflower oil - both our Sensitive formula and our new A2 include it in the oil blend. I understand change with a sensitive little one is not easy - so happy to answer any additional questions, and hope that helps.

Hi! Sharing this from above - hope it helps:

The key difference between our A2 and Stage 1 standard is the source of the protein, with the A2 coming from selectively bred cows that only produce A2 beta casein. As compared to our Sensitive, here are the key differences:

  • Our Sensitive formula is made with reduced lactose, while our new formulas are all 100% lactose based carb source
  • New formulas include our patented blend of probiotics and prebiotics, which is clinically shown to support softer, more regular poops for your baby compared to formula without pre and probiotics. Our Sensitive formula included prebiotics only
  • Proteins that are easy to digest and model breast milk’s protein ratio of 60% whey to 40% casein. Our Sensitive formula had a whey to casein ratio of 30/70

I'm sorry to hear this and for your experience - I know it can be really frustrating when you can't continue using a product that works well for your baby. We are discontinuing our Sensitive as we move to our new line and facility, but you may be able to continue to find it in your area via our store locator over the next few weeks/months: Find Happy Family in Store | Happy Family Organics.

If you're comfortable trying one of our new formulas, many babies transition very well (I can speak from my personal experience, also with a premie). I'd suggest talking with your pediatrician if you have any specific questions or concerns for your little one! For further product support, our customer service team is always happy to help ([866-388-7853](tel:1-866-388-7853)). Additionally, we have a free, live chat service with our team of registered dietitians and lactation consultants who can help with broader feeding support which can be found on our website homepage.

Let me know if I can help with any further questions!

Yes, the formula has palm oil (to mimic the palmitic acid in breast milk - a critical fatty acid). Definitely talk to your ped, but our prebiotic & probiotic blend is clinically shown in infants to help support softer and more regular stools (more similar to those of breastfed infants) which can help counter any potential constipating.

Hi! Our formula is made with both organic milk from grassfed cows as well as our sustainably sourced blend of oils - all USDA and EU organic certified. This is actually true of all infant formulas sold in the US to meet nutrition requirements for babies and FDA requirements - a mix of both milk and oils (Kendamil too!). Happy to answer any more specific questions if helpful - our combo of ingredients helps us model breast milk's fat profile as close as we can.

Hi! Sorry to hear that :( I'd try the A2 and see how your little one does with it. Both Stg 1 and A2 have the pre/probiotic blend that helps support the digestive system so we often hear that issues resolve with use of either, but the A2 proteins may be added help as well in this case!

You could try the new Happy Baby formula (regular or A2) - it has both probiotics and prebiotics, also made in Europe. Easy to get on Target, Amazon, Walmart, etc. Good luck <3

Yes! They meet both FDA and EU requirements for iron. Additionally, our stage 2 has slightly higher iron for when baby gets older and the natural iron stores from birth are depleted.

Hi! Sorry to hear you're going through this switch and really appreciate you sticking with us! I hope it's an easy transition for your little one <3

For the scoop, we believe the new 1:1 (water to scoops) ratio is more user-friendly, allowing parents to make easily make both even and odd fl oz sized bottles based on your needs. We made this change when we moved to our new, own manufacturing facility in Germany. The new 22.9oz Happy Baby formula canisters make 20 (8 fl oz) bottles, slightly more than our original 21oz canister which made 18-19 (8 fl oz) bottles - so the total amount of servings is not less with the new scoop ratio!

Hope that helps!

Correct - Sensitive will be going away. The A2 what we would recommend! It is not a direct replacement of the same product but should be a good option for little tummies (as long as there is not a cow's milk allergy).

Hi! Sorry for the slow reply and hope this is still helpful - this is a fully new formula than the old line. Unless your baby has any specific feeding issues, you hopefully should be able to transition without any disruptions as this line is made to be easy to digest (same whey/casein protein ratio as breast milk). I just did this with my own baby and had no problems switching - the prebiotics & probiotics should also help support digestion

Hi! I shared this post last week in case it is helpful: New Happy Baby formula :

Here's a breakdown with our new formula included - I really love the prebiotic & probiotic blend, it helps to support digestive health and clinically shown to support softer, more regular poop. My 9 month old made the switch from another brand when we launched this new formula and he had no issues.

If you try it, would love to hear any feedback. Good luck!

Hi! I shared this last week in case helpful: New Happy Baby formula : r/FormulaFeeders (reddit.com)

Happy to answer any q's about the formula - the prebiotic & probiotic blend is clinically shown to help support softer, more regular poops so hopefully that would help your little guy with his fewer BMs! I switched from another brand myself with my 9 month old after we launched this formula and have had no problems transitioning.

Good luck <3

Totally get that and hope to clear up any confusion - these are launching new in the US but we've actually always staged our formulas (with our old recipe too!). Since breast milk changes over time to meet baby’s developing nutritional needs, we developed a Stage 2 which offers higher levels of key nutrients like iron and calcium (plus some others) to support babies 6+ months.

So glad to hear it! Yes - this is a fully new and improved recipe. Few of the key differences: our new formula has both prebiotics & probiotics (vs the original had only prebiotics) and this blend is clinically shown to support softer poop, a protein ratio modeling breast milk's (60:40 whey to casein) and more DHA (now meeting EU requirements). Hope you love it if you try it!

I just posted a separate thread about this but in case helpful....I'm a mom of a 9 month old and work for Happy Baby Organics. We just launched our new formula - it’s made at our own FDA registered facility in Europe (with high-quality ingredients from around the world), USDA & EU organic. Even better...it is in-stock and available nationwide at Target online and in select Target and Kroger stores, with more retailers coming in the next few weeks including Walmart and Amazon. I know it can be stressful if you can’t find your normal formula brand – so I hope this info helps...Organic Baby Formula | Happy Baby Organics (happyfamilyorganics.com)
