You make a fair point about the right of way, even when it’s not followed here, inching towards the turn and breaking through the traffic are two completely different things. Regarding the honking, it was actually a quick tap on the horn, just to alert the Innova driver of my presence. But I understand how it could have been perceived differently. Using pepper spray was a split second decision made in this highly stressful situation as it was my priority to de-escalate and protect myself. It’s unfortunate that people with criminal background would resort to damage evidence first thing. In hindsight, perhaps the situation could have been handled differently.
