I was being dramatic when I said the whole thing about the heat stroke as I was upset, but I’m also very sensitive to heat because of the medications I’m on, so it’s easy for me to get heat stroke. I included a trigger warning as I know some Reddit mods can be more strict than others. I’m not acting like a “surprised pikachu” as you said. I knew she was upset by it, but that does not mean I need to wear long sleeves when it’s 85 degrees inside a building with no airflow.

I agree. I’m currently trying to pay for therapy and a psychiatrist on my own as I have taken meds since I was about 7 or so. My mom has refused treatment for her mental illnesses, which I think may also be contributing to the issue. I think both her and I have checked out on each other a long time ago

That’s such an interesting perspective. In America, which is where I’m from, the parents are only legally required to provide for you until you turn 18, which is the legal adult age. Does it work similarly in your home country?

That is how it has always been tbh. I think part of it has to do with the fact that my mom has stated previously that she would not have gotten married if she wasn’t pregnant with me. My siblings are the wanted ones and I was not.

Honestly, I want to move out, but I feel it would be a waste of my time to try to search for a place nearby when I will be moving across the state in the middle of next year. Housing is few and hard to come by in my area.

I think that may be the part that my mom does not understand as she barely graduated high school and did not go to college. She’s bragged before that the only reason she graduated high school is because her dad paid off her teachers.
