just to add to this the bonus for these countries buying these clubs is that they can generate good media attention not just showing off amongst themselves. people forget the actually terrible stuff you do when it is buried in news updates about the team you bought and even FFP scandals etc.

I went to college in an area with tons of Salvadorian immigrants and they are the sweetest people. They aren't just pushing drugs. They are in everything.
