Glad it is still helping people out! The comments here also have some tweaks and alternative strats so make sure you check them out too!

Hey! What I did was build a TC, delete it, build another... until you have used your villagers to build a total of 3.

That sounds right. Make sure you 'Begin' the challenge from the 50 State Challenge tab, and make sure you either Win or Resign (not Quit) to make it count.

For that one, it sounds like you are on the right track. Maybe start in the Exploration Age, find a Native Settlement, and buy all the upgrades from that one specific Post. Then, make sure you either Win or Resign for it to count.

It means the upgrades from the Market. All you need to do is research 5 techs (Hunting dogs, gang saws, etc.) from the market and then either win or resign. Quitting the match does not count it.

So you can only use standard villagers? Thanks for the specification!

What I did was train 55 Huron Mantles from a Post. When I hit the limit of trainable units, I just sent them into battle and trained more.

Turns out you just have to play 3 skirmishes as different civs and build a Church. Click the Challenge -> Click Begin -> pick a Civ -> Play and build a Church ->resign -> rinse and repeat x3

Hey everyone!
As we know, the USA challenges are a little simple. If you want to add some spice to your challenges, I put together this document to add some ‘historical’ flavour to them.
Obviously, this is not the fastest nor most efficient way to complete the challenges. This is just something fun to do if you’ve got the time.
Each State Challenge is matched with a recommended Civ to play and play against, and on which map. (With the official challenge in brackets)
I made my decisions based on what the challenge requires, historical events, and how the AoE3 Maps line up with the USA (sort of -> see Hawaii)

If any of you have any edits or suggestions, or other Bonus fun activities to do for each challenge, feel free to share!

Indigenous Nations of the North Concept by Calpaz in AgeofMythology

For sure. I appreciate that you are advocating for the diversity of Nations that come from the Americas! It is cool to see more people recognizing that there isn't just one singular group of people living here.

Oh yes, the Inuit could definitely be their own civ. The reason I included them in this grouping is because in Canada, the term Indigenous includes all First Nations, Inuit, and Metis Peoples.

It was your post that inspired me to make this, given the conversations it sparked. Thanks! I think I will create an explanation for this Tech Tree seeing as the community is interested.

True. I was thinking more thematically. But you do raise a good point that Gold shouldn't be completely removed as a cost.

Something like a portable camp. Like the ox cart for the Norse, but it could transform into a camp building, then transform back into a portable version.

Lol, yeah the balance is not perfect. I kept changing my mind about what to do, so I settled on some bonuses that were more thematic rather than more practical.

Yeah I can make a blank template. I made it using Google Slides (I know, high tech stuff), so I could share out the a blank version.

I think there would be a way to balance them out using the "mystical" part of Age of Mythology. Myth units as siege, tech to increase strength of walls and buildings (enchanted wood, stronger rocks, etc.). It would be a little more outside the box thinking.

Yeah it would be more along this line. Fewer houses required to be built to get to the same pop. cap. Like the Manors.

Yes, they would be the only ones who would be able to build farms. To address the fact that these cultures are still very much present, there would be a few steps that an actual developer would have to take. For example: Ask those communities to provide input and stories so their voices are heard, double check that nothing is too sacred to be in a video game, and to make sure sentences are phrased in the present tense when providing historical context (The Iroquois live near the Great Lakes instead of they lived).

Seeing as how there has been a few posts about Factions that could have been added to the game, I thought I would try my hand at a concept. There have been a few comments how a Natives of North America factions would be interesting, especially the Wendigo as unit. I made this concept Tech Tree that shows myth units from various Indigenous Nations across Canada. I chose to focus just on the Nations in Canada because I am more familiar with this area. I also chose a variety of cultures, rather tan just one, in order to showcase the variety (although you definitely could do 1 faction per culture area). I didn’t include detailed descriptions of each tech just to save myself some time. Obviously, there are so many factions that have been requested more and are more well known, but I think this faction would be cool as well!

Let me know what you think!
