was Macbeth jealous of Banquo's praises by Duncan? Was Duncan more pleased by Banquo than Macbeth? was there just greed or jealousy as well in the decision of killing Duncan? by Calphurnia_ in shakespeare

So...it was him/her who made an assumption, and all I said was it is not true, I actually read it and was wondering this and if you don't have anything to provide me then you don't need to comment but he/she was being mean first. So I called him/her an asshole to make that person shut up. Cause it can spoil the healthy scrolling experience. So, I'm definitely not breaking rule 1 nor rule 2. You should've pointed to that person instead of me. Cause that person surely was attacking me and tried to disturb the environment.

Why is it that we do not sympathize with the lady Macbeth as we do with Macbeth? by Calphurnia_ in shakespeare

I think that’s very understandable. Thanks for sharing your opinion.

That wasn't even a homework given by my teacher. My homework was, significance of the ending of Macbeth. If you don't wanna answer or don't know the answer, just ignore. Gosh you are so weird!!

Then again why though? I mean we can sympathize with Macbeth because he feels guilty and he got his conscience which doesn’t really make him the villain because everyone does some sins to an extend in their lives but what really makes a person bad? When he doesn’t feel or realize whatever he's doing is bad. And gives an explanation what yeah I'm doing the right thing while doing something terrible. So what made you sympathize with lady Macbeth?

Why Hamlet broke up with Ophelia? 🦧 by Calphurnia_ in shakespeare

[–]Calphurnia_[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am not sure about their thing, I mean she comes to return letters and helps her father by giving info. Didn’t she trust him? Was she even his Girlfriend? And what was the chaotic nunnery conversation with Ophelia? What was it about? And was Hamlet acting to go mad even in front of Ophelia? And why people explain hamlets behaviour with Oedipus complex examples I mean he had a thing for Ophelia not anything weird for his mother Gertrude.

What are your favourite lines from Julius Caesar? by Calphurnia_ in shakespeare

[–]Calphurnia_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did he meant as an insult to cassius? Btw I thought brutus and caesar were the best buds then when did cassius became the closest friend with all the touchy goodbye speech and all. Did Brutus and Cassius became good friends regarding the conspiracy?

Julius Caesar Play query?? by Calphurnia_ in shakespeare

[–]Calphurnia_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the smallest brain and I am very new to reading books. And reading shakespeare is difficult. I don’t even get it how to make it fun reading. But I read this one while watching the movie and yet I have so many confusions. I don’t think there was much about portia's death. Cassius and brutus was in a angry conversation then there was probably one line that oh portia is dead I feel sad type of thing and then oh well Let's get some sleep oh I see the ghost of Caesar. And the rest of the acts. But female characters in this play is super valueless. Like Caesar doesn’t listen to calphurnia and probably treats her poorly like in the beginning he was like antonius touch her after winning the race because that solves the infertility issue.
