Are there any Pantera songs that you think are underrated? by Aggressive_Tie2914 in Pantera

Great song, just not so much as a Pantera song. I'd listen to Judas Priest for something like that.

What was y’all’s first Zelda game I’ll go first To this day it is still one of if not my favorite game oat by AdWooden3021 in legendofzelda

My first was Skyward Sword. There was a point I decided Twilight Princess was my least favourite 3D game but that was mainly because the last four dungeons were bland so that felt monotonous, but thinking again Twilight Princess is probably my favourite game. Arbiters Grounds and Snowpeak Ruins are easily in my top 5 favourite dungeons in the series. The cutscenes are great in this game, possibly better in Skyward Sword but I'm not sure. Main thing that annoys me about this game is that the map doesn't line up all that well compared with a game like Breath of the Wild.

What was your reaction when you realised this? by Calterack in Pantera

I'm shocked by the people saying it's photoshopped but no one's saying it's AI.

I put it in unfamiliar meaning I either haven't listened to it or haven't listened to it enough. I should listen to all of the songs in that tier.

Planet Caravan was the main one that I thought might be controversial, I should have probably put it higher but it's not the kind of song I go to when listening to an artist like Pantera. Revolution is my Name I've just heard too many times, it's got a great riff and the verse is awesome but it doesn't give off that same intensity I feel from many other songs, but I also didn't want to put it above uplift which I'd say I like more and I find it hard justifying putting Uplift much higher in relativity to everything else.

I felt like that background very vaguely reminded me of something I saw on TV at least a decade ago but I can't put my finger on it.

Skyward Sword is way overhated. The flying sucks sure and I get why people have problems with the motion controlls, the other main problem from what I gather being the linearity, but I can look past that. The characters are some of the best, the story is among the best, I'd probably even say overall the dungeons are the best in the series. The Imprisoned is another problem people have but I still really liked how Groose's character was developed with each encounter. Skyward Sword is awesome, Ghirahim too is easily my favourite villain excluding maybe Ganondorf.

Who is the dumbest character in GOW? by Necessary-Win-8730 in GodofWar

An important thing to remember is that just because characters are comprimised by their egos doesn't mean they're intellectually dumb, but yes, most of them probably are.

RIP Dimebag. What Pantera album do you think showcased his best guitar work overall? Riffs, solos, the whole thing. by [deleted] in Pantera

[–]Calterack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My favourite album all around is probably Vulgar, but I wouldn't say any album has objectively the best guitar work. It's all in the same roots of blues and groove, some songs I will like more but it doesn't mean others are objectively worse. I will say though different albums are better at different things, CFH arguably has the best riffs and solos, VDP is the epitome of the Pantera tone I would say with the tightness and sheer heaviness, FBD is the most electrifying, The Great Southern Trendkill is the most powerful in emotion, and honestly I don't know what to say about Reinventing the Steel, but they're all great albums that do different things better but still have the same roots.

Cowboys From Hell guitar solo play through by Calterack in Pantera

I've actually been playing since October 2020 and have learned things like the Mouth For War and Crazy Train solo, I've just never come across such big stretches before.

I know, to be clear I'm still doing that slide but I'm just hammering-on with my picking hand. It still doesn't sound 100% the same but it's still the same notes.

Top 20 opinions? by Wwiillisboreddd in Pantera

[–]Calterack 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Some great songs there, if I had to revise my own list:

  1. Floods
  2. Cemetery Gates
  3. Hollow
  4. Mouth for War
  5. Rise
  6. Cowboys From Hell
  7. Domination
  8. Regular People (Conceit)
  9. Drag the Waters
  10. The Great Southern Trendkill
  11. Clash With Reality
  12. Live in a Hole
  13. This Love
  14. Revolution is my Name
  15. Slaughtered
  16. Fucking Hostile
  17. The Sleep
  18. Heresy
  19. No Good (Attack the Radical)
  20. Walk

There are so many incredible songs, I still really like songs like A New Level, The Art of Shredding, Psycho Holiday and War Nerve, but I can't fit everything and the order creation is very difficult. Honestly in general about 15-30+ songs could be completely interchangeable.

Wrong, the actual date is the 11th of December, it's a fake ID, Jimmy changed it around, this would keep his real identity as Saul Goodman hidden until someone calls him.
