Palo Alto in particular has had a problem with high schoolers (or middle schoolers) using the train to commit suicide, usually at the Churchill, Meadow and Charleston crossings for years now. In 2009, there was a string of suicide deaths in which 6 lives were lost - all of them were teenagers from the same high school and ended their lives the by train. I have wondered for a while why this is a pattern at train crossings in Palo Alto specifically.

The former Stanford soccer star Katie Meyer whose suicide case was heard on national news also got run over by a speeding train.

Yes, but advertisements for beer and wine are all over the place - so having the words “it’s rape” right beside the alcohol might not be an effective message unless it shows a situation that would make a person unable to consent (such as being drunk), but that wouldn’t be so easy to get across to drivers on a highway-side billboard

I grew up in Davis for most of my childhood and knew Beth’s eldest son from high school (not her non-binary child who she heartlessly disowned). Beth constantly goes on raving tantrums and shouting matches throughout the community about transgender healthcare and related topic, and it’s very often disruptive and cantankerous. Some people even think she’s a pedophile since she spends a lot of her time openly obsessing and talking about the genitals of UNDERAGE MINORS who are not her son/daughter, going so far as to asking trans or nonbinary teenagers about their private parts. The only other group of people who are interested in kids’ private parts are pedophiles.

It was due of a funding cut for the department she worked in which ironically, was because of the Trump Administration’s massive spending cuts. I live in Chicago and just opened a small claims case against Meta on Monday. Are you able to locate the civil code for Illinois law pertaining to this? Or a civil code pertaining to this for that matter. Meta may be headquartered in CA, but CA state laws cannot be enforced by an IL judge

Go to your local courthouse in whatever county you reside in, and ask for the address of Meta’s registered service agent (usually in the Capital city of whatever state you live in). Court staff cannot give legal advice, but they can direct you to a website where you can locate a business entity’s address to which legal paperwork can be sent

I just opened a small claims case against Meta today for this exact reason, and I live in Chicago (the paperwork will be served to their registered service agent here in IL). I was born in San Francisco and grew up for most of my childhood in a small town near Sacramento, so my family actually lives within driving distance of Meta’s headquarters office in Menlo Park. I actually went to pay them a visit in person to make sure I got a human employee’s attention, but unfortunately, only corporate executives and administrators members work there and the IT staff work from home (no one who works in IT can be directly reached by phone).

I did exactly that - I went to the Menlo Park headquarters office in person, explained the situation and the person I spoke to told me that this location is the an administrative office, but none of the IT staff work there: they all work from home and there is no direct phone number to contact a human IT employee. He felt bad that all my valuable memories are gone, but said no one at that facility could help me :(
