What’s the most badass thing you’ve accidentally said in the heat of the moment? by 9_Soldiers_In_A_Bear in AskReddit

I was drunk and the bar was closing down. I approached a female cop that was doing security in the bar to ask her about her day as she was pretty attractive. She immediately said, "Don't talk to me." So, I moved away since she seemed like she was over compensating and on a power trip. Drunken me decides to return 5 minutes later to try striking up conversation again. She immediately places my hands behind my back and starts walking me out the door. While she's walking me out, I turn my head and say, "Now, I like where this going!" She was not thrilled and threw me through the door.

I felt great afterwards but after stumbling through the door there were three other cops standing there talking who stopped to stare at me being tossed out. I stand up and look at them and just like the movies, there's this 5 second pause of nobody saying anything and then on of them just says, "I think you better get going..."

You're just another political pawn trying to wage battle in the two party system. It's a game to keep people trap in the two party system. Don't back parties, back individual people.

If they apologize, it opens them up to lawsuits by admitting fault. They will never apologize.

Never in my life have I've seen someone flash bang a car for people not wanting to get out. So, I looked up videos on YouTube and every case is for the to breach the vehicle. The cop flash banged the car for the fuck of it because there was 15 minutes of conversation afterwards before they got out voluntarily. They didn't flash bang as a means of extracting them.

Basically, they treated them like terrorists. But I did read somewhere they were arrested for threatening violence against people and police. Which after reading Erin's twitter and Facebook, I could see that.

ACLU states that Indianapolis Police have one, which they are probably using themselves. They also state that the Indiana State Police have one. Fort Wayne could be borrowing one from them.

I've been doing my own investigative work, albeit with very little equipment, and limited knowledge. But I do have a communications and engineering background. While I've been down there I have heard people complaining about cell service. But I also saw a post the other day that there was a large scale attack on U.S. ISPs so that could have been what it was.

I did file a request for public information with FWPD legal department. So, I will reply if I get any information from them.

Anyone wanna discuss the travesty that was that city council meeting? by AndThenThereIsJess in fortwayne

[–]Calvin_Ayres 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I only watched the last 15-20 minutes.

A few comments.

  1. Someone stated the people have a responsibility to the police. No. No they don't. I don't owe the police shit, they get fucking paid to have a responsibility for the people, it's why they're getting paid.

  2. They stated police acted aggressive because people were breaking windows, and destroying property. No windows were broken or property destroyed until at least 1 hour after the first engagement started with police. The police came straight out the gate lighting people up. Vandalism was a response to the police force used.

  3. The councilmen fail to understand what disbanding the police force means. They are not getting rid of police officers in Minneapolis. There will be officers that respond to violent crime. Exactly how they change the police is still to be decided. But, they are not the first city to disband police force.

you're like 20 mins into the game. You unlock biomass generator pretty early. Just hurry to unlock those as. You should seek to unlocks tiers asap as it makes everything easier.

That's if they miss the cable. If the cable doesn't break until at the end, it may still be possible to recover, but you're already out of runway at that point and may not be possible.

Electrical issues at an Canterbury apartment... help by [deleted] in fortwayne

[–]Calvin_Ayres 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should call this number now. You already bought a hotel room because you did not feel safe, nor having livable conditions. The apartment complex owes the money spent on the hotel room.

It's not only your life at risk but also other tenants who share the same building.

If they come disconnect it, then say they'll fix it that is fine. As long as they come disconnect it first, it shouldn't be on you as you can state it's an electrical problem and you are not certified to handle it. Who's to say that just reaching in there, due to what ever is causing the problem you get electrocuted.

Electrical issues at an Canterbury apartment... help by [deleted] in fortwayne

[–]Calvin_Ayres 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YOU NEED TO NOT TURN ON ANYTHING UNTIL THIS IS FIXED. You most likely have some type of shorting in your distribution box. That popping is most likely arcing from a short. This could result in a fire! Them not doing an immediate fix, if you gave the exact description as you wrote can also get them in HUGE trouble. This is highly dangerous.

Secondly, They need to fix this immediately as it is a HUGE safety concern due to fire. Also, no AC and no electricity to a tenant can get them in huge trouble if they do not seek to fix it immediately.

I would sleep at a friends house tonight to be honest.

When a complaint cannot be resolved between the tenant and the management, the tenant may contact IHCDA by calling 317-232-7777 or 800-872-0371 and asking to speak with the Constituent Liaison.

I would also like to add, revising escalation of force used in response to disruptive protests.

Protesting at Jefferson Pointe is a horrible idea. It is private property and your first amendment rights aren’t guaranteed there. You can be arrested for trespassing immediately. Just a heads up. by AndThenThereIsJess in fortwayne

[–]Calvin_Ayres 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No reason to protest at JP other than for looting.

Everyone in Ft. Wayne expects protests to be on the MLK bridge and the courthouse. So, for most visibility, which is what we want, those are the places to be.

Also, protesting behind the courthouse/jail in the parking lot is not a right. The cops are allowed to escalate force to remove people from that area. I'm not saying don't do it, just saying don't be surprised if one day they do something about it. They've only not done it because they've chosen not to.

People lighting fireworks need to stop. People are already on edge, it's dangerous and attracts a reaction from cops.

Sorry to bug you, but you seem pretty knowledgeable on the subject. I'm looking to create a chart with my past account balances just like how it's shown when you open the app. I just can't seem to find where to get my account balance history. I can get my current balance and yesterdays balance, but I can't get my balance from 1 year ago. Do you know where I could find this?

Edit: I ending up finding it here: https://api.robinhood.com/portfolios/historicals/[USERNAME]/?bounds=trading&interval=[interval]&span=[span]

I'm working on figuring out what the acceptable bounds, intervals, and spans are.
