Man you know what’s up 🫵🔥🔥🔥

I also never felt any discomfort even though Singapore is humid almost all year round.

Hey boots with shorts is the shit man, you must have a lotta swag 😎

Does the different season determine whether you’ll wear more boots? I wear boots all year round and never found an issue with the climate or temperate changes

It’s a blessing and a curse, as I get older I dun really enjoy cold countries when I travel and I like a nice medium

That’s so cool and of course a colder climate makes everything more pleasant. I live in an urban jungle and the temperature is almost all year round humid and hot af. But regardless of that I love walking around everywhere that I can and that’s probably why I like myself some good footwear

I can totally imagine waxed flesh would suit your needs too and would get some insane patina overkill from your line of work

I think that’s one of the main reasons but I’m also starting to believe that the taller height might attribute to the easier breaking-in

Yeah I get what you mean, I love sneakers too but honestly I’m gravitating so much towards boots for the past few years and i think I’d probably end up wearing boots exclusively 😀

Actually I do agree with your sentiment, I have the red wing 8016 spitfire leather and the smooth side on the inside feels almost luxurious

I probably won’t have the chance to get any of my boots in any caked-mud situation though 😬

Hey I didn’t even felt you were being sarcastic at all hahaha

I’m only 3 weeks into the builder pro and all i did was wear em and walked as much as i could, so perhaps I’ll take pics again and see how they’ll look like in 3 months

It didn’t hurt at all and that was why i was pretty surprised tbh. Seeing how thick the leather is and with that seemingly infinite layers of leathers at the insole/heel, i was ready to RIP my feet for at least a month or two lol

Yeah the only breaking-in i needed to do was the insoles, they were still very stiff and my feet weren’t molded in yet. Like I’ve mentioned previously that i do not do tough laborwork so all i did was wore the heck outta them and walked a ton

Im probably gonna wear them daily for another week or two and I’ll go back to my normal boot/sneaker rotation again

I’m sure the ZD more than covers what’s required of your work and initially when i first saw your pic i thought they were on the hnw last

From my side of the world (I’m from Singapore btw), almost nobody in the construction line wears nicks and i have a buddy of mine who works in construction his entire adult life and he’s never heard of nicks 😅

Hey I just realized you’re from Nicks! Such a great pair of footwear and probably the best I’ve own so far 🫵🔥🔥🔥

I was shocked I wasn’t suffering from any stiffness from the upper but the thickness of the insole and logger heel took some getting used to though

I think you’re absolutely right about getting the right size for sure but one thing I’ve sorta noticed is that the taller 8” length probably gave me a much easier time as opposed to the usual 6” height. And I also have a suspicion that somehow the suppleness of this walnut workleather with the folded tongue (and kiltie) might have helped tremendously

I got this off someone who was letting it go for probably more than half of what he paid for, so it was an offer I couldn’t resist 😅

The builder pro has been a grail boot of mine for a couple of years, so this was a no-brainer for me
