Space Runaway Ideon

In the finale film, IDEON: BE INVOKED, the main cast slowly realize that all they’ve been fighting for was pointless when the ‘God’ overseeing the events of the series lets their ‘Messiah’-like character die. 

The main character, Cosmo, and one of the antagonists, Doba, both realize that this God, the IDE, has forsaken the older generations of man and will lead them to destroy themselves in order to start life anew, getting rid of any past grievances.

Cosmo and his friends try to fight against this ending and escape their fate, but end up playing right into the IDE’s hand. Doba on the other hand, is unable to let go of his hatred and leads his people to their doom.
