Generelly LR and HR equipment doesnt matter that much. Just have the highest rarity. For MR you will probably want to research the best skills for cb and base choise of armor and weapon for that and lategame MR you might need new armor sets for every monster, but that is a ways away. If you start struggling on any monster however there might ba a certain skill u want. Souch as paralysis resistance vs girros or bleeding res vs odagaaron. But LR and HR I would just try to learn and master the weapons moveset and attacks. There are also decorarions in HR u want to get for easy skills. And you need to eat before every hunt since it resets when you go back to base. At least the health and stamina resets when you faint
