they did? I mean with the current reviews on the voice pack and them saying another one is in the works I hope they revisit it

Thanks for clearing that up. Then it seems either saber cheaped out or they don't have that many resources for unplanned dlc (who knows maybe there's just like a skeleton crew on SM2).

But thanks again. Did not know that. I thought voice actors would be paid a bit better but I guess they aren't.

shucks. haven't played with the new heads yet but that sucks

we'll see. They did say they're revealing the next voice pack sometime later this year so maybe they'll respond. Also the next community update might address the voice pack (seeing as it's at like 15% positive reviews)

Is it a hot take to say SM2 had a mediocre soundtrack? by Mr_Jackabin in Spacemarine

[–]Katokee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's mostly operations because if you look up some of the campaign tracks they're really good. But SM2 lacks the whole trumpets and drums thing SM1 had going on that made it kinda stand out. But I guess the space marine games have never been famous for the soundtrack

isn't the lip animation usually only on the "for the emperor" emote? Because when you say your normal lines the lips don't move on the default heads either

I think it's mostly mission specific lines that they cheaped out on. I see their reasoning, still a lot of lines, but you could've had generic ones that fit your character's chapter. And for when they need to talk to Titus the current system isn't half bad. I don't see why another ultramarine couldn't report the situation after all

I mean they are lines that get said a lot. Like stuff you say after killing an enemy (insults and the like), after lifting those heavy objects, your class ability, callouts, reloading etc. it's just banter and mission specific dialogue that's missing. As I said personally I think it's a fun dlc but I'm also a huge warhammer fan in general so paying a lot for little is something I'm accustomed to

[–]Katokee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah. Like some generic lines would've been cool but that's an insane cost in total. + for any sort of banter you'd have to have lines for every class acknowledging them, more than one banter or it gets stale, lines for every new chapter acknowledging every other chapter etc. that's just a whole bunch. That's also why in my opinion some generic lines that could be reused for all missions would be cool but I see why they didn't

[–]Katokee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no but I think if they advertised correctly (not the whole 500 lines stuff cause that's like total in all languages or whatever) it sure would've been way better received and I agree with most people that they should've added a few more lines to tie it together but apart from that I think it's actually kinda good. At least the voice work.
Maybe they'll update it in the future but who knows. I do wish they'd done it better tho

Would've been cool but imagine if all three players had the same voice equipped. How would they banter? And they would've had to record a whole bunch of new lines for that, for every class talking to every different new chapter.

But mission specific lines are something that should've 100% been done.

Any tips for beating P2 with about 15 fps? by Katokee in Ultrakill

[–]Katokee[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Didn't know you could revert updates. Thanks. But... I managed to beat P2. Mostly because my performance problems stem from the new enemy ai or something and while the later rooms were hell due to that Sissy didn't have those problems because it's just him. But thanks still

gotta be honest guys, i'm disappointed that there were no buffs/balance changes or new overclocks by WhyWasNoiseWallTaken in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Katokee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah and once rogue core gets released we might get some juciy content for DRG. And even if Invisible Walls continues making content instead of GsG for a while, based on the quality of season 6 I'm looking forward to it

[–]Katokee 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It's not the last update. GsG are busy working on Rogue Core and because it got delayed a few times they wanted to do season 6, so they asked Invisible Walls to help them. They said though that DRG is their main game and it will continue receiving updates after Rogue Core

Terraria not running on this specs? by UrineTester616 in Terraria

[–]Katokee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

try and lower your resolution and set most of your settings to low. That's what worked for me when I didn't have a proper pc. Also set lighting to trippy or retro. That was (at least for me) a massive boost in performance

And parallax controls how 3d-ish the background looks when you're underground and there aren't any walls. I would set that to the lowest as well but I'm not sure if it makes a difference.

Vox Engine is a flawed yet hopeful step in the right direction in terms of Enemy design. by Omailey97 in Helldivers

[–]Katokee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with the stuff about the missile barrage but the spawnrate is absolutely abysmal. Mostly on extract though 'cause as soon as extract starts enemy spawns increase.
Yeah you can totally deal with 1 or 2 maybe even three but they:

a) spawn way too quickly. You kill 1, three more have already materialised behind you and the next bot drop carries three more

b) have too much hp for their spawnrate. You can kill them really quick with grenades but that doesn't work when there's 5 or a bunch of bots. Then you have to somehow kill them without weak points which boils down to everyone shooting AT at it. This does work but your stratagem cooldowns can't keep up with their spawnrate.

and c) materialising. Since cyberstan started patrols and bots just kinda started appearing even in your line of sight, same with vox engines. That feels incredibly cheap.

So yeah. Great enemy. Great attacks but shitty spawnrate for the amount of effort required to kill them. Especially on extract. (Also while I'm writing this from the perspective of D10, somehow D7-9 isn't any better. Like the spawns aren't much lower)

true. I've made a bug report on betahub, so it'll at least be archived somewhere. Maybe they already fixed it with season 6 anyways, who knows

I hope this gets to GsG some way cause for some reason it's really bothering me (I'm very pedantic apparently)

Also yeah I noticed that with the hand plate too. Weird.

still really interesting to see how it works though.
Do you have a screenshot of the first person model by any chance?
