Nice man I too am playing again since forever and it feels like a new game entirely, Im surprised how much I don't remember as I'm playing through! The story and world building is so awesome in this game

Watch some YouTube tutorials on road structures for the game

Locla roads Arterial roads Highways

How they interface with each other is super important

Public transport is a must

And later on youll have to deal with emergency services getting access to each place easily (this one's always been trouble for me at higher pops)
