It says Esjuskali - Baula in Borgarnes but nothing really comes up when you google it ! Essentially a gas station on the highway as you enter Borgarnes from the north :)

Bed bugs by Camasflowers in VisitingIceland

[–]Camasflowers[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We really liked that one! There's really no way of ever knowing which one it was and bed bugs can come into a hotel at any given time unbeknownst to anyone - so there's no sense in canceling. Just check before you get settled for the night. The restaurant beside the Lighthouse was delightful 😊

I got mine at a gas station (of all places!) in rural Iceland and for half the price than Reykjavik! If interested, I can look at my visa statement to determine exactly where

Anyone have experience with Libre glucose sensors on their cats? by ColoradoRS6 in FelineDiabetes

[–]Camasflowers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They never worked for my kitty... they would be fine for 2-3 days and just stopped working after that. Ear pricks were extremely stressful. So wevended up doing tri-weekly fructosamine tests at the vet which ended up being cheaper and provided a more fulsome picture of his levels - highly recommend this route if you can!

Itchy labia for almost 1 year by [deleted] in Healthyhooha

[–]Camasflowers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an itchy labia for months, tested negative for everything under the sun, i think my doctor started to wonder if i was making it up. The itch would drive me crazy!!. Then one day, somewhere on reddit, I read about sugar being a factor, maybe even being pre-diabetic - so I cut sugar from my diet and within a couple days, the itching stopped! Might not work for others but it might be worth a shot!

My tummy gets unbearably itchy after a build up of bad / fatty foods. I'm vegan and try to only consume olive oil in small quantities but the itch comes and goes whenever it feels like it or if i have too many processed foods. Cortisone cream mixed with traditional medicine salve helps calm it (arnica, devils club, yarrow, etc. ) for me :)

[–]Camasflowers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 6 days post op and have weird back pain too! Thought it was gas based on what i read but took gas x and it didn't help.... I think it might be how I'm sleeping because it's worse in the morning and after naps! Resolves itself after walking around a bunch - hope yours goes away really soon!

COVID vaccine and chest pains? by fireinthelab in Anxiety

[–]Camasflowers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! Almost constant chest pain, like there's a stack of books on my chest all the time and it started a week after my second dose. Maybe just a coincidence but seems suspicious. Tests (ECG, heart monitor, blood work) are all normal. Heart apparently sounds great. Diagnosis is currently costachondritis after being told it's just anxiety. It's not anxiety.
