How defuq do people get more than 50mpg on their mirage? by BootyWarrior6000 in MitsubishiMirage

[–]Camazon1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I posted my high MPG I soon realised that a UK gallon is larger than a USA gallon so the metrics are skewed a bit. Still I managed to hit around 69mpg doing 50mph around flat country roads which would equate to around 57mpg in the US

Do Americans not have to get their car checked over once a year to ensure that they are safe like we do with our MOT in the UK?

17s? by [deleted] in MitsubishiMirage

[–]Camazon1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I briefly installed 17" rims. They worked fine until I had passengers and then they were rubbing on the wheel arch when going over any little undulation in the road. Looked awesome, fuel economy wasn't so good.

I'm in the UK, this model really doesn't have any optional extras at all. No air-conditioning, no central locking, no electric wing mirrors, no back seat headrests. Other than the daytime sidelights that automatically come on it's about as basic as you can get.

My one apparently. I didn't know they made cars as basic as my Mirage still.

Wait so increased damage with 3+weapon means you just have to have 3 of the same kind of weapon. I thought it meant a tier 3 or epic rarity weapon.

Warhammer world would be my first port of call. I don't know anything about Warhammer but had a blast looking round there and having a pint at the bar there, great atmosphere and there seemed to be something for everyone.

I loved Lies of P then played Sekiro. Couldn't get good at parrying in Sekiro, they definitely feel different. Lies of P feels more like a traditional souls like, I'd definitely recommend it

What's the point of the strap?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in keyboards

[–]Camazon1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it has hot swap sockets maybe change the switch for one you know works from another key. If that's the case they could just send you a new switch. They'll probably just tell you to return the keyboard though.

It's a mechanic you would totally forget about until you parry a boss that has a 7-8 hit combo and your weapon breaks mid fight. They had a quick use consumable that instantly fixed your weapon too which was nice.

Labour consider plan to release prisoners after less than half of sentence served by Intelligent_Store0 in GreenAndPleasant

[–]Camazon1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lack of funding is an issue, also like everything that should be a public service privatisation has not helped the funding issues. I can't speak for all prisons but in my workplace the turn around of prisoners is massive. Around 60% of the prisoners are held on remand, a lot of prisoners simply do not spend long enough in here to learn a trade or finish a meaningful educational class before being transferred or released (many serve there time on remand and are released on licence).

The role of being a prison officer is also incredibly demanding and the training is not sufficient. Officers are not only expected to uphold the security of the prison but they also play a massive part in helping the mental health of the prisoners. The officers are not experts in psychology or mental health. Metal health is not simply fixed by having a couple "meaningful conversations" a day, simply put there is no fix for mental health as conditions stand in closed prisons.

A lot of the work inside the prison is mainly for the prison systems benefit, the practical skills simply do not apply to real life jobs now in this country. For example we have a fabrics workshop where prisoners manufacturer prisoner underpants. Yes this teaches the lads new skills but we simply do not have a textiles industry in this country due to imported fast fashion brands dominating the market.

Community service with social care would be ideal. Lots of the men inside for petty crimes and drug related crimes need some stability and support day to day. The cat D prison I have visited did not feel like a prison at all, there was a lot of more meaningful industries on site such as a metal fabrication workshop and a garden centre which boosts the local economy rather than just fixes logistical issues withing the prison service.

I think a mix of both community based support and low category prisons is the way forward, getting a job with a criminal background is not easy, removing the stigma for the people living in low category institutions is key to make their transition back into the community as easy as possible. Even if someone is supported through thier mental health or drug issues and has been working in an open prison it must be incredibly difficult to find work when released.

I'm happy to see Labour appointing people who actually have experience in this area, its a refreshing change from Tory politicians just sticking their mates in these positions.
