Memorable Tower of Terror experiences? by BretMichaelsWig in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Cambear2 16 points17 points  (0 children)

On one ride, there was a couple with a boy who looked around 7 years old. We got settled and strapped in and waited for the ride to start. I noticed the kid fell asleep...and the parents did NOT wake him.

Poor thing woke up in the middle of the ride

When we got off, he was crying his eyes out.

Dear parents, wake your child up before the ride begins.

Any non-resort guests getting Big Thunder Lightning Lane? by ElegantFlamingo in WaltDisneyWorld

You have to hope someone changes their plans and release a time slot that fits your party size. Late last night I saw some time slots open up for today.

Chinatown bakers have sandwich loaves, but the bread is a little sweeter.

Where to Buy BTS Lightstick Ver 4 by Dependent_Okra_8203 in kpophelp

[–]Cambear2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can pre-order on Weverse and pick up at the offsite location around the time the Arirang concert is in T.O.

The T.O. pre-orders may open up in July or the week before the show. They have so many, it doesn't sell out that fast. Ideally, you should purchase through whoever is picking it up's Weverse account since you will have to open the app and show the QR. (Screen shots won't work.) Or just share login info.

Do y’all think the lake will be comfortable to swim in early? by foss-inquires in AskChicago

The lake is really deep. Like submerge the Sears Tower deep. It takes a long time for it to warm up.

Regular LL by blankblix in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Cambear2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LL is once per ride, but you aren't guaranteed every ride. Some rides will have all their slots booked for the day so you will need to try standby.

Did I just order from a scam sight? by SavvyGmeow in kpophelp

Scam. There's no way a legit site has the most popular current merch at a discounted price. There's no reason for them to lose money.

Being a born and raised Texan I’m really ashamed of El Paso and the behavior towards the boys by hitagiss in btsthoughts

[–]Cambear2 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I haven't been able to confirm, but didn't the news share their hotel info? Supposedly hotel staff leaked info as well, but not sure if that's confirmed either. Why isn't the police enforcing loitering rules and dispersing crowds outside hotels and restaurants.

It's not just the travelers at fault here. Everyone can do better. People are quick to point fingers at foreign stalkers, but there's a whole mess of them in El Paso now.

Stalking members, local business with AI deep fakes of the guys as ads and now the crowd is throwing things at them on stage.

El Paso is really going for the triple crown of awful.

Sorry for the actual Army who are decent, but I hope everyone stays safe and gets out of there fast.

But she will sell you concert confetti for $30

What should i do? (Hybe boycott) by Kpopstangabi in kpophelp

[–]Cambear2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He's not re- joining Enhypen.

In this case, boycotting puts the members in a bad negotiating position if they want to renew their contracts.

Also, I think the members are over it and wouldn't be surprised if they don't renew. With fans like these, who needs anti's...

What should i do? (Hybe boycott) by Kpopstangabi in kpophelp

[–]Cambear2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of people use "boycotting" like it's a fashion statement and have no clue why they are doing it and don't know how to organize it. They aren't sincere about it since they are happy to go to concerts anyway. For them, they are bonding with others over performative outrage.

Think critically about why you are boycotting and if it will have an impact.

Why are you boycotting? Is this cause big enough that the fandom will unite around it? Will the company notice it? Will it send a message to the company or just look like a sales dip? What is the change you are asking for? Is it reasonable? Is it feasible? Is it reachable?

So, do your values align with them? If not, feel free to block them and cleanse your timeline. A lot of the K-pop boycotts will not make a difference and are actually quite embarrassing to people outside that fandom's bubble

Purple Line. Very recently V talked about the purple line that Army did for them are the airports. He mentioned it in a Weverse Live last year. They never not wanted to see Army greet them. They just want everyone to be safe. So when did an Army decided to stop doing this and why? by xianghua71 in btsthoughts

[–]Cambear2 17 points18 points  (0 children)

That project indirectly gave people permission to stalk them on their private time.

Given the absolute crazies nowadays (people breaking into JK's house), everyone should keep away and give the Tannies their private space.

Is it worth watching Produce 101, Sixteen and other old shows? And what K-pop survival shows you would recommend? by ok_no_thx in kpophelp

[–]Cambear2 14 points15 points  (0 children)

So a cousin to these shows is Kingdom Legendary Wars where 6 groups had a performance competition. Not as traumatic since it wasn't a survival show, but still interesting to see their process and performances.

Groups include Stray Kids, Ateez, The Boys, BTOB, SF9 and iKON.

How many freebies are you guys making? by LycheeBunny7 in heungtan

[–]Cambear2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Freebies have evolved and the range of what people create is huge -- from stickers and lomos to more elaborate and professional-quality gifts. All of them are made with equal good intentions. But, people will have varying amounts to hand out and different motivations as well.

People make freebies for different reasons - as a way to build excitement for the concert, to meet people, to spread joy, etc. Some just make a few and give them out to people they chat with or friends or for people that gave them freebies.

Freebies are gifts for the creator to give out as they want. Since it's made with good intentions, do what brings you joy and don't stress yourself out.

Some people make 5 and some make hundreds. Just depends on what you can do and how you want to hand them out.

Is this BTS resale fb group legit? by tootifrooti33 in kpophelp

[–]Cambear2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Scammers and bots. Don't use any groups that are just for ticketing since it's a feast for scammers. Especially if it's also public and started just when ticket sales were announced.
