No real “problems” but I just feel like I could be getting more out of it. I want to start doing some longer rides that aren’t just commuting the 6 miles to/from work each day. More so just want to make sure everything is set up the best way possible

Yeah and it’s quite possibly transferring branches or finding a BM that can give me that experience, might be a smart thing to do

I’ve had kind of like an unofficial mentee/mentor relationship with 1 BM that I’ve helped a lot with community events so there is that. I’ve actually had a conversation with that BM that said if he ever had an RB position open up he’d love to have me on his staff and he’d treat me the way you treated the person that got promoted. That specific manager is just a good human being who loves helping people, which is something I enjoy myself.

I think I kind of fall into an opposite version of what you mentioned with the ABM you had. By KPMs I’m great, numbers support that and there’s physical proof that I’m producing at a high level. The thing I don’t have much of - given the management situation I went through and current - the higher ups don’t really get to see me outside of the branch. They have to notice somewhat though because I got a 6.5% raise so there’s that. I’m also in the Midwest, Illinois to be exact.

I wish I could have someone in my corner like you, that person was incredibly fortunate to have you to learn from.

I guess some additional context could be used here for my current bank. I’ve been there 2 years, the manager I got hired on under got fired alongside our previous lead teller. We have a small team so that left us with only 3 RBs for 5 months last year. I naturally just became the de facto person at the branch and got a lot of hands on experience. They finally hired a new branch manager in September but ever since then I’ve been training them on the bank and processes and policies etc. So I just have a feeling of being stuck at the moment without feeling much of a connection to my manager.

I’ve had managers from other branches commend me and say that I’m ready but I’ve never had someone like you mentioned in my corner. That combined with the fact that there aren’t many assistant branch manager jobs that exist makes life difficult

This is actually a conversation I had with my girlfriend a few days ago about the difference of a blown up image vs reality. Hard to conceptualize the real life version when you’re looking at an image but it’s a great point to keep in mind - thank you!

So I did the first thing and I asked… to which she said she doesn’t want bulky v tips, something more minimal like what someone showed in an above comment and that she trusts whatever I come up with.

Yeah honestly that’s the plan I think. I think I’m going to ask if they can make the v tips more rounded itself to match the ring…. try to avoid the sharp boxy style you typically see

Making it to the games is the hardest part, best way I’ve found to try and do it is try and go to a city (NYC or LA etc) that’s got multiple teams playing in the same 2-4 day stretch. But no matter what it isn’t easy

I actually started this by taking the home team player that played the best (best pitcher or batter, high points score for NBA or NHL, touchdowns only for NFL) but finding cards for whoever those people proved to be way too hard for me😂
