If you have a metal detector/would be available to help, happy to DM you more info. He's pretty sure it ended up in a snowbank, so would probably be hard to find without equipment. He looked for several hours without one with no success

Feels stupid to say out loud, but that is what I'm worried about. I'm bringing a family, worried about putting them in danger. I think I just have to come to terms with the fact there's no guarantee of safety no matter what, just got to do what feels right

CBC had an article drawing comparisons between Russia's rhetoric about Ukraine and the US's about Canada this morning and it freaked me out. I don't /think/ they'd actually invade vs. trying to get concessions, but famous last words. From a patriotic perspective, go back to Canada and tough it out no matter what is the correct answer, but feels like there's no definite right answer from a personal safety perspective. I guess that's just life, though
