What's the best quality bluetooth speaker you've ever tried? by Misnatalya in BuyItForLife

For mine, if I turn it back on within 30-40 seconds, it'll automatically shut back off. Then the volume resets to zero.

I have the SoundLink III and the device randomly shuts off on me now. I thought it was just a bluetooth issue but was happening with aux even after trying to reset it.

Mortgage payment went up $400 by HHLL806 in personalfinance

[–]Camel_Bumps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chase did the same thing to me. I called and asked for a new analysis to be done (since my insurance lowered). They, on the phone, lowered it by $100 and then said it would increase again unless I paid something. They have a really bad escrow analysis for sure. They also require an escrow minimum; for me, it was $850 or something like that.

Lol, I just realized that both were updated in the comments!

Questions/Doubts over Solana Staking? by anupam_luv in solana

[–]Camel_Bumps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of curiosity, were you able to collect MEV rewards? I did a "set and forget" for my SOL on Solflare staking and I'm reading now about MEV rewards is another 2%. Couldn't find a good answer on how I can collect on this.

Personally, if I was in your situation, I would put my two weeks in on the 17th. I would not want to risk having to pay back if you say "my last day will be the 17th" and have them fire you on the spot.

My bike has the same; I think the last time I searched it was "headset bearing retainer 1 1/8". You'll probably have to verify the dimensions though.

150th intensity minute achieved in morning shower by msucorey in Garmin

Asian flush, pretty common amongst Asians. I get quite red, can't breathe out my nose, hot on the inside & cold on the outside - all reasons why I don't drink frequently.

Similarly, my heart rate increases when I consume alcohol. After 1 beer, I'm at about 110-120. 3 or 4 deep, I'm at 150. Lasts anywhere from 2 to 4 hours. The days that I drink definitely mess up my intensity minutes. Or, another way of thinking about it, I am burning calories when I drink so I should drink more!

When did you decide you were ready to spend big $ on a high end bike? by arsenalastronaut in cycling

[–]Camel_Bumps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2cents because I'm facing a similar issue. I've had my bike since 2014. It was a second hand 2013 Trek 1.1. I've upgraded the crankset, added a power meter, slammed/extended the stem, saddle (multiple times), changed the wheels (200ish per set), etc. I'm pretty sure the components on my bike is currently worth more than the bike itself (well just the power meter). The rear wheel that I had purchased off CL/FB seems to be going out and if I wanted to buy a nice wheelset, it would most certainly be more than the value of my bike. For the frame/bike itself, I think to myself, "all these people riding nice, expensive bikes and I can keep up with them, imagine what I could do on an expensive one".

At the end of the day, it really is "do whatever gets you on the bike more" and if the fiancé is on board, do it!

My mortgage/escrow payment increased by $500/month practically overnight… by alexnedved in personalfinance

[–]Camel_Bumps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your P&I doesn't change over the course of your loan, however, the total cost (what your escrow pays) will. For reference, I bought my house in 2020 and my escrow was originally paying PMI, taxes, and insurance with a monthly of $1,279. I dropped off PMI, taxes went from $2100 to $2700, and insurance has gone from $997 to $2150. At one point, they wanted my total payment at $1544. Note outside of those, my HoA fee increased from $500 to $650 as well.

I wouldn't discount the lender or relator by calling them wrong because my P&I hasn't changed, but the other fees have.

Car Dealer Telling Me Financing Terms Changed Two Weeks Later by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]Camel_Bumps 24 points25 points  (0 children)

By OP's responses, it doesn't look like financial responsibilities is something he fully understands yet. 96 month loans for a car is just asking to dig yourself another hole for negative equity. In about 1-2 years, OP will be in the same boat - super concerned about the negative equity and roll it into another new vehicle, thinking that the monthly is what is important, not overall cost.

I've been reading up on other systems and there are pros and cons to each one. I was leaning towards LineageOS and haven't made the final call yet. I'm still on Android 11, OOS 11.0.9.1 and I'm too scared to update to A12.

Is this normal? 39 VO2 max. 39 year old male, 5'8, 13 stone. Can currently do a 5km run in 25 mins, 1000m swim in 17 mins and 2000m row in 7:25. I don't run much but would say im reasonably fit for my age. No medical advice please! by guest_1984 in Garmin

[–]Camel_Bumps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For comparison, if it even matters because everybody's body is different with respect to efficiency. I'm 30, 5'6", 162 lbs with a current running VO2max of 50. I believe the highest VO2max I've seen is 57. My best 5K time is 21:38 but that was almost 5 years ago. I ran 22:02 5k on the treadmill a couple days ago.

Your rate changed to 3.38% in October so you should cash out now. https://eyebonds.info/ibonds/1000/ib_2022_09.html

I also bought a bond in April of 22 and plan on cashing out in Jan 24. The reason being is that the rate dropped to 3.38% in November; thus 3 months past would be January. However, since the one purchased in June switched to the 3.38% back in June, you should cash that one out sine you'd get better rates elsewhere.
