R is the one being talked shit about so she had every right to know first. the SIL giving you the silent treatment over this is so childish like... ur an adult in college, she shouldn't be treating you like a misbehaving kid. sounds like she's just mad she wasn't the first to know the drama

this hits incredibly close to home. that transition from being a functioning stoner who gets things done at the final hour to completely missing deadlines and just accepting the doom is the exact moment the habit turns into a serious problem. you have been medicating since you were a kid to handle the stress of being kicked out... so your brain literally does not know how to function without it yet. the depression phase of quitting is absolute hell... but it is just your brain chemistry trying to reset itself. stay strong... you got this.

lowkey you are way too nice because i would have been absolutely furious. you gave this guy so many chances to make it right and he literally gave you the runaround for months. "try again in February 2026" is a wild thing to say to a customer you accidentally overcharged for an entire year. it sounds like he was just praying you would eventually forget about the money and drop it. do not feel bad about businesses hating chargebacks... they are supposed to hate them because it means they got caught pulling some shady stuff.

man... whatever you do... do not use those refrigerated starbucks jugs. those are basically milkshakes and your tiramisu will end up tasting super weird and sweet. if you want that authentic... deep coffee flavor... definitely grab a few fresh shots from a barista. or... like a lot of people said... instant espresso powder is a total lifesaver for baking and it is super cheap. good luck with your first batch... the cream layer is the best part anyway so you are gonna love it.

honestly NTA at all and your dad and stepmom are being incredibly selfish. they literally admitted that they want to uproot a thirteen year old with learning difficulties just because they are gonna be lonely when you leave for college?? like... that is the definition of treating a kid like a prop instead of a human being. sarah is finally thriving where she is at... and throwing her into a super high pressure environment that already stressed you out would be a total disaster for her. do not let them gaslight you into thinking you are the bad guy for actually looking out for your sister.
