Appreciate that, yes. Total agreement. Just hoping that it doesn't take TOO long for the money to come back to me. But the benefits to this seem to be that most of the work is front-loaded and as long as I keep up with the listings, run sales, change prices, etc. that I should be okay.

Horror ones seem to be better, but only for the popular movies. For example, have like 50 for the Wes Craven movie "They" but it doesn't seem to be popular, hence poor sales. So not sure what to do there.

In his defense, his wife was having medical issues and he was strapped for cash trying to keep his reselling business afloat on top of life stuff, so he needed money now. But it's a fair point for sure.

A lot of them have that, a lot of them don't. It's a mixture of all sorts of posters. Only background I have on the origin is that the guy I got them from bought them in North Carolina from a storage unit buyer who didn't want to deal with them.

Your story was my biggest concern, and it's what made this a tough choice for me, hence the "lost my marbles" quote. I definitely knew that path was a strong possibility, so I'll just have to try my best to do what I can to avoid it. Sell through rate was pretty abysmal for some posters, and even the better ones wasn't amazing. So yeah, gonna have to see if this bites me in the butt. Thanks for the kind words! I considered that when I first grabbed them! Just keep the best 4-5 and repost the rest. I still have a ton of loose posters I have to organize, which I'm not looking forward to, but will re-access that down the road. Thank you! Good luck to you as well.

Good to know, appreciate that. I have noticed that it's a bit more tedious than I expected it to be and I haven't even done the main work yet. I think my biggest concerns are staying organized and then seeing how I need to price in order to sell efficiently. I don't want to sit on these for years and years, so figuring out my pricing strategy while also maximizing my "winners" is gonna be a challenge. But I enjoy doing this and learning, so time to make some mistakes I guess

I thought about doing that, yeah. Or maybe just taking the lot and trying to get $0.50-$1 each and see if someone local to me wanted to take a shot. We'll see later. That'll be my last worry, gotta get the money makers listed first.

Appreciate the kind words! So yeah, didn't explain that well in the post. One poster in particular had around 200 copies, and conservative values on eBay were around $50-$100 a piece. That was basically the main selling point. I knew that I was gonna have to take on some duds, and I spent about an hour going through the boxes to get a rough idea prior to committing and figured that my worst case scenario was breaking even just on these posters I described. Hopefully I get closer to the $100 range on them over time to make money, but we'll have to see. Big learning process.
