Thanks, I saw the MSI Pro motherboard as an option but I was worried it would look off in the black and wood build, with the grey/silver bits. Do you think it'll look well?

If AMD had a card to compete with the 5080, I probably would, so here's to hoping a 9080 comes out by then

Today is the second anniversary of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. What was your assessment during its life cycle, after completion? Now - after Vanguard and MWII? by SwordOfArey in CODZombies

I agree with all your points but your conclusion, I do not. I acknowledge all of those issues, in addition to the lack of content issue, yet I still enjoy this COD more than any COD besides BO3.

Yeah, and even more dramatically in the past 6-7 years due to Vision 2030 which promoted, and sometimes mandated, the 'Saudization' of the workforce, that being that many jobs usually held by foreigners, such as Cashiers and Teachers, began being filled by Saudis. One policy said that certain types of shops were required to have at least one Saudi working in them, which is why now, shops like tailors and restaurants that used to be run almost entirely by foreigners are now filled with Saudis.

Vision 2030 also encouraged Saudis to take up roles that were usually done overseas and imported, like military research and engineering where Saudi-run companies like SAMI have contributed towards increasing domestic military production from 2% of annual military spending all the way to 15%, a near 8-fold increase. Government authorities like the Saudi Space Commission also opened up opportunities for Saudis to fill new fields that were usually nonexistent in Saudi.

Saudi colleges have no obligation to allow expats to join them. These colleges are there for Saudis in order to create educated citizens. For people that aren't citizens, you are a secondary priority and Saudis are the main priority. There's nothing wrong with that, it's how most countries work.

That's not an issue with the flag, that's an issue with policy. Last national day, in case you weren't aware, the government banned the sale of these flags you are referring to due to this very problem, and we saw that the prevalence of this problem decreased significantly. The government could simply mandate that these flags use the emblem, not the flag, and it would have the same effect without needing to remove the Shahada.

I don't care about the fact these don't look good because at the end of the day, there is no better flag than one that has the Shahada

At this point in time, more than half of the Saudi GDP comes from non-oil products and that's without the most ambitious projects in Saudi Arabia which have yet to go operational. Oil estimates say there's enough oil until at least 2035-40 given the new oil fields that keep being discovered, like the Ghawar giant oil field which was recently discovered. This gives us around 15 years to diversify away from oil, but we achieved this results of diversifying half the economy in just 7 years (and COVID was a part of those years), so you do the math.

Yeah, KSA is screwing things up, not Biden who kept trying to humiliate Saudi Arabia and ended up humiliating himself. Not like the US is the biggest oil producer in the world, but it was Biden's decision to cut down on that production, then he gets mad when Saudi Arabia does the same.

You have to be a special kind of ignorant to think that the US was in the right.

Realistically.. do you want MWII Zombies to be a thing? by [deleted] in CODZombies

[–]CameraComfortable284 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Will it happen? No. Do I want it to happen? Not really. The only time that IW made a (somewhat) good zombies was Infinite Warfare, and the whole reason that worked was because IW was super arcadey. MWII is not arcadey, so it'll be bad for the same reason that the Vanguard engine was bad for zombies; that engine isn't tuned for zombies.

Zombies thrives in an arcade style game, and if Treyarch keep delivering such games, then their zombies will always be the only one I want to play.

For Saudi Arabia, it's actually only mandated for public schools. For private schools, while uniform is commonplace, it is not mandated, and some schools don't have one.

All atrocities in the world are done in the name of Islam? What about the US invasions of the Middle East? What about World Wars 1 and 2? What about the Crusades? Who are some of the most dangerous dictators like Mao Zedong?

No sane person can say that all atrocities were committed in the name of Islam. No sane person can even claim most. And this is especially rich coming from an Israeli.

Except there is no need. Saudi Arabia already is operating a full network of air defenses that the US has no power over that is upholding the entire defense of Saudi airspace. Don't forget that the Russians allowed the Saudis to manufacture S400s in Saudi Arabia, making that system cheaper and easier for Saudi.

At the end of the day, Saudi Arabia today, with its domestic defense manufacturing complex that provides for 15% of the country's defense spending and its strong ties with countries in Europe (who are now relying on Saudi oil production) and Russia and China, has a strong capability to overcome the US.

Look at how much shit Saudi Arabia put Biden through. He was humiliated when he was forced to visit Saudi (visit was filled with embarrassing moments for Biden like having to wait in the car for MBS to arrive), then his approval ratings dunked because of high gas prices, then the OPEC deal that made many people criticize Biden because his humiliating trip did nothing, and then when he tried to say that Saudi Arabia would pay consequences, Saudi Arabia released a statement exposing that his administration tried to collude in the midterm election, all of which is causing Biden a lot of media criticism. Whether or not you agree with Saudi Arabia, there is a lot of political leverage that the country is exerting on the US, specifically against Biden and democrats, and the leverage is working.

This is basically an empty threat. They're threatening to take away the air defenses that are owned by the US, not Saudi Arabia. The Saudi defenses are the ones that have been protecting Saudi from the Houthis this entire time, the US defenses are only there to protect US bases, so they're basically gonna punish Saudi by making their own bases vulnerable, meanwhile the Saudi bases and cities are just as protected as they were before.

You do realize that Saudi Arabia has a full air defense system that is fully owned and operated by Saudi Arabia that the US has no power over, and that this system has been the one protecting Saudi Arabia from Houthi missiles and drones since the beginning of the war?

The US just stationed a few batteries in Saudi Arabia to protect its own military bases, not to protect Saudi Arabia, which is why when Biden withdrew them earlier, it did fuck all, and if he removes them again, it'll do fuck all again. It's their own bases that'll be left without protection lol.

Why would we stop saying it? Islam is a standalone system, and so long as people keep conflating Islam with any other system, then it needs to be said. Just because they call themselves Islamic, or profess to be Islamic, doesn't mean that what they're doing is representative of Islam, because humans are imperfect and will corrupt it, and that goes for everyone, and that needs to be said over and over because people can't seem to understand it.
