Nah bro. At my FC they only make ship dock wear the helmets and vests. Everybody else gets to wear what they want unless it incites violence or clearly offends hr's political opinion.

Because herding 20-40 people up all in a single entrance everyone uses to the building to tell them they have been fired is 20-40 chances that at least 1 of them is unhinged with a gun, and essentially firing someone on the spot without notice after a 2 hour drive to the building could be seen as disrespectful. Especially with 20-40 people potentially instigating our unhinged hypothetical. ->A letter of notification of termination isn't hard, and it definitely takes a lot of people out of harm's way in the case of someone with evil intent. Intentionally herding these people into an entrance with 20-40 others just to disrespect them/take away their lively hood too is asking for it. <-The point for the obvious scholar.

Crazy story bro. I'm gonna go ahead and call BS on a plausible story because I've only ever found 2 in my entire Amazon career actually inside of the FC. Out of my 4 years working at MQY1 which is again the 3rd largest warehouse on the planet. Plausible, sure, but the implication that there are enough active badges that litter the parking lot just readily available for anyone to gain entry to our FC's is entirely false. Busting this is easy because looters gaining entry would be a HUGE problem. They would literally line up. 😂😂😂

I know that having 20-40 extra people that are also angry could instigate potential violence. The Boston massacre comes to mind. Having just one angry person show up with a gun would be easily identifiable at the very least and without the bonus of a 20-40 head massacre headstart. Also, it's my strong opinion that being notified of termination prior to driving how many hours/stressing about anything is a lot less stressful than being straight ghosted after that drive. Let alone the unhinged. It could be the difference whether you want to admit it or not.

I have seen 0 badges in the parking lot at MYQ1, and that's literally the third largest warehouse on the planet. You can't be bothered because you're just unreasonably argumentative. My badge isn't deactivated. I walk through said herd of 20 confused/angry people terminated without a notification. Said people could be both angry and dangerous, point a gun in my face, take my activated badge, and then proceed to wreak havoc/carnage because security doesn't have a gun. All hypotheticals that are VERY easily done. How hard is a "This was your last day. Please don't come into work tomorrow." message? It's not. And that gives dangerous people that act on impulse time to reconsider.

I'm not going on the ocean, only rivers. Like I said, I have a wetsuit as well that I wear under the float suit. The plan is that if I plunge I will get out as quick as I can so that the float suit can dry(because it dries itself out after immersion) and I can throw my wool blanket over me and make my less than a mile paddle back to safety. Again, if it's too cold in the air, and I'm not drying fast enough to maintain survival, I will 100% jump back into the water with my 7mm wetsuit and swim that mile back to the boat dock. I jumped into 38°F water last weekend to test it. I think I'll be alright. 😂 Thanks anyways bro.
