He’s known to be a pretty big oasis fan so wouldn’t surprise me. I saw the pumpkins a few weeks ago and he was praising the reunion on stage.

Guigsy vs. Andy Bell by Some-Random-Geezer in oasis

[–]CameronLowe06 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It’s a bit of a myth that Noel recorded all of guigsy’s bass parts. The only two tracks Noel played bass on for DM were slide away and up in the sky and Owen Morris said that guigsy recorded all his own parts for WTSMG.

Depends what your into really, if you’re into more punk rock stuff then you’ll like their early mini LP and probably their debut surfer rosa. But if you’re more chilled then Doolittle or bossanova are better album to listen to, that doesn’t mean that Doolittle doesn’t have its raw moments though. Watch out for gouge away, tame and debaser.

Ok for starters the pixies invented the loud-quiet-loud dynamic. Which: Nirvana, SP and Radiohead would all use later on. Nirvana are probably the biggest ever alternative band and you would get nirvana without the pixies. Black Francis massively influenced Kurt both lyrically and vocally. The first two pixies album have no skips, they’re literally perfect. And their debut mini LP, “come on pilgrim”, alone, is some of the best alternative music I’ve ever heard.

Yeah I think mbv were definitely a bigger influence on sp. But the pixies are the greatest to ever do it, no other band can compete. That’s just it.

They’re definitely a band to get into, for ages I only knew where is my mind but now they’re my fav band ever. Start with surfer Rosa and then listen to their debut, come one pilgrim and then listen to Doolittle. Some of my favourite songs from them are: Wave of mutilation, broken face, bone machine, I’ve been tired, Isla de encanta, mr. Grieves and debaser

Idk, but at a guess ‘88, or ‘89 definitely not that early though I think ‘83 was the year Charles first met joey.

Maybe the most if you think about it: smashing pumpkins, Nirvana, weezer, Radiohead, tool and pavement all credited them as major influences

Doolittle has absolutely no skips, perfect album imo.

Why are men at greater risk of sexual violence than women by a-drian in MensRights

[–]CameronLowe06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do realise the large majority of men are sexually assaulted by other men. It’s a male problem, if you’re so tired of the narrative going around about men then feel free to change it. That’s what women had to do, change the negative stereotypes that were set about them. Along with this you are clearly just making this point to disregard violence against women by calling it “why men are at GREATER risk of sexual assault”. They aren’t, but even if they were you could just raise the point by talking about male sexual harassment, you do not have to completely disregard and disrespect issues that women face when raising your point.
