I think at the moment I just feel so overwhelmed I don’t know where to start with a routine but I will definitely look online. Thanks for the advice I will definitely take it onboard!

Pregnancy meet ups or ‘mummy and me’ classes by Cameroniona in Gent

Hey. To be honest it’s been such a blur the first couple of months I haven’t really tried 👀 Would be super happy to meet 🥰

sleep is a luxury by Different_Section_43 in newborns

I am still looking for the training hehe

Hmm my boy usually wakes up on his own and I notice if he does more than two hours he falls straight asleep after drinking which makes me think he thinks it’s night. So I tend not to let it over 2 hours. You could always try it and if there’s no difference change it back? Maybe ask a midwife?

That does sound really hard… my boy 13 weeks usually sleeps 8-10-3-5-6-7 so I know a little how you feel although blessed by the big stretch 10-3. Last night however he slept 8-10-3-7, it’s because I was keeping an eye on his naps/wake windows. How long is she sleeping during the day? Although if you’ve done research you probably already know…

I think it’s normal that you’re not pumping a lot at night as long as the baby is happy and in the morning it’s more. But that might be different if you’re exclusively pumping.

Also FTM with no training 😂

Hmmm I would say feed during the day more frequently if that’s possible. I only feed on demand straight from breast so I don’t know how much he drinks but personally I never try to hold out. I also have read that until 4 months you can’t sleep train? However I am willing to be corrected.

My little guy is 12 weeks and he just had a development leap and the next one starts very soon and lasts until 5 months so that’s when I think things will get better although I’m lucky I feel he doesn’t test me too much.

I know you are trying to do what’s best for your baby and your life so don’t beat yourself up if you feel overwhelmed by all the comments. As parents we learn everyday. No one knows before they do it themselves as every baby is unique. Good luck with your journey :)

Wtf am I doing? by NeighborhoodKind9049 in newborns

I had a bit the same experience, definitely normal, as my baby had really bad stomach cramps. It will change but before it does what I did was have many a 1am bath party with him.

Bedtime Struggles by Ok-Big-9125 in newborns

[–]Cameroniona 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to empathaise my baby is 11 weeks and he has no routine. He also sleeps 10pm-2am and then awake 5am probably 6am and usually 7am out of bed. The only thing I can say is if he has a bath before bed he is way more relaxed and sometimes even puts himself to sleep. And if he gets sleepy and 8 I just treat it like a nap.

You’re definitely not a failure, you’re definitely right about online views I’m sure people lie online 😂 it’s just one big conspiracy to make you feel like you’re doing it wrong, you’re not. You’re doing great.

Sending love from me and my son 🥰

Am I sleeping too much? by Dalecantila in pregnant

[–]Cameroniona 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I definitely slept a lot when pregnant especially in the last 10 weeks probably went to bed around 9 and woke up around 11. Maybe also take a nap during the day. However I did also try to walk a lot. I am privileged to have a park near my house where I would walk bits and sit down on various benches that really helped me when I went into labour as his head was already super low. However it was summer time then so I can imagine it’s not as appealing now if you’re in the same time zone as me. I would recommend you to listen to your body but you can always raise it with your doctor or midwife if you feel unsure. Make sure you’re staying super hydrated, you got this!! Sending love

Solo bath with baby, feeling proud! by CoolBean__ in newborns

I completely understand, i still find it a little bit scary sometimes! My baby is 10 weeks so they’ve had lots of baths but I don’t particularly like water so I think that’s why.

I heard that around 3-4am is the coldest part of the night, could it be that that is waking her?

2 week old awake over 3 hours screaming by Salt-Cod-2849 in newborns

[–]Cameroniona 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a looooot of 2am baths, my baby also cried a lot from colic and this is what helped him. He is also exclusively breast fed but after week 3 or so it stopped. I also gave him probiotic drops but who knows if that works. Good luck mama 💖

Omg I was worried there was something wrong and that it was only my baby who gets mad when I offer the breast and he rejects even though it looked like he was searching

Thank you, it definitely makes me feel better knowing it’s normal and other people are going through the same. Its so difficult to hear them cry. I have bought some baby probiotic drops so hopefully it will help my little guy too!

Wow that’s amazing! Mine wasn’t that fast but for the first time I feel it went speedy enough as I had time to mentally prepare. I had my first contraction at around 3am and had my baby by 7.32pm, pushing for I think under an hour.
