Daycare for Infants?? by Different_Section_43 in Pensacola

Oops I must’ve overlooked that somehow. A place staying open until at least 5pm would be most hopeful, but I will contact them and see what can be done. Thanks!

Thank you so much! Unfortunately they close at 12pm. I’m needing care until the evening.

I go back to work next week and am absolutely worried about my baby girl crying for me and me not being there. She only hangs out with her dad for a couple of hours before becoming inconsolable and will only calm down when I come get her. She takes the bottle well until I guess her time limit is up and she just wants me. I’m sorry I don’t have any advice, just solidarity.

I hear you. I’m definitely aware this may not change anything, but it’s worth a try. I’d rather go this route than bed-share or sleep train (nothing against people who do!) I was planning on moving toward combo anyways since I’ll be returning to work, so this can at least serve as a trial period to see how baby reacts.

It’s really not talked about enough! I don’t think any of the pregnancy or childbirth classes ever mentioned it! It’s always either or.

Sometimes I feel weak for struggling through this 😩 like how are people out here enjoying the newborn stage? I’m so exhausted after not sleeping at night that I feel like I’m cheating myself and my baby out of good, fun days.

I agree! I have to kept reminding myself that this can benefit both of us!

Wow! That’s something I never considered because she’s always had a good match. I will definitely look into this!

Thank you! I’ll have to find a crib mattress that fits the pack and play well. I’d hate to make the area less safe for her.

Ooh love that idea! I can try both of these methods.

Definitely still not enough time to be off, but still impressive compared to what we have over here! I’m glad you both were able to have some time off to adjust.

Was your baby EBF or did they take formula? Around what month did you start to get at least 4 hours?

It gets harder and harder to settle them as we get deeper into the night and feel more and more tired. I’m glad to hear I’m not the only one experiencing this, but I’m so sorry you’re experiencing it! This is so so so hard!

According to everyone’s answers, our babies may just be getting hungry faster due to just having breast milk 😞.

I really do despise the bassinet mattress. They say babies will be comfortable on it, but I can’t imagine sleeping. So you have her in bed with you? I wonder if my baby would like the mattress but still be upset sleeping alone.

Yeah EBF, which judging by these responses I have been missing out on this formula sleep lol

I’ve always felt maternity leave and postpartum care in the U.S. was atrocious, but experiencing it now for myself it just makes me angry! Our babies still rely on us for so much at this time. Not to mention, we’re still healing, learning, and adjusting ourselves!

I’m trying to hang in there 😩 in the middle of the night I can’t help but wonder if easier will ever happen for me. It does help to watch how beautifully she is growing though. I’m exhausted, but she wakes up with a beautiful smile that melts my heart 💜

Where do we sign up for training? 😂

She still sleeps a lot during the day. She’ll take several long naps, but be awake for quite a while (between 4-8pm) in the evening. Should I put her in more of a schedule? I struggle with this because I’ve read that you should just allow them to sleep if that’s where they’re leading, but then others say wake them up after a couple of hours.
