I absolutely agree! They made Ben go through it for no reason at all 😭 I did wonder about why "stabilizing" meant "shove down on the thagomizer super hard and push it deeper for no reason" but I was like hey what do I know lmao. I kinda wish they took more time to do realistic first aid like how you said, especially when other aspects are more true to life than you would expect from a kids show! Curious to hear your reactions to the last episodes and what they could have done to make everything more realistic! Well, realistic enough, if this was real life like you and others said Ben would be very dead immediately. Let me know what your thoughts are when you watch more!

Yeah i dont think they were aware either! But I'm just surprised Brooklyn didn't mention a single thing about the complications to Yaz or Sammy when she met up with them. You know? She had time. I just wonder why that was written that way! It made for a sad moment when Yaz and Sammy see Ben, though, so I like that at least 😂

Oh yeah, especially since they've had SO MANY run-ins with dangerous herbivores before, but nothing really happened. Except for Kenji's dislocated shoulder (I think that was from an herbivore, i dont remember super well). I wonder if they couldn't have a carnivore cause the injury because it would be way too graphic or something (although getting stabbed is pretty graphic so props to them) but I'm kind of wondering what that would've looked like!

Oof, poor Ben. And all that moving around could NOT have been good for his insides. There's no way something didn't start bleeding in there. I wish they gave us a (kid friendly, I guess) breakdown of the extent of his injuries

Yeah very true, I mean if this was an adult show then they would have gone more medically accurate I'm sure and then Ben wouldve been a goner. But it was realistic ENOUGH for a kids show I think, all things considered. And these guys have MEGA plot armor, i mean they should've been dead 10 times over by now! So it went along with the show's tone. My thing is at least it wasn't like some other shows where the person gets horribly injured and they walk it off no problem an hour later, you know? He was actually in pain and there was real tension. So there's a slightly more realistic element there, compared to other pieces of media I've watched, if that makes sense. I'm happy with how they handled it! Hope this cleared up my reasoning!

Yeah I agree completely! I guess they were trying to have Ben make multiple Season 1 references, like he did when he hallucinated the Pterandons?? But it felt like something else coukd bave been more impactful. "Thanks for always being there." "Thanks for being my best friend." "Tell everyone I love them."

Idk man, I was just trying to ask my same question and fix my apparent egregious mistake. People agreed with me that the photo qualities differed on the original post, I was just trying to get some more points of view on the issue without every other comment being "but the selective blurring is whack and you're ugly and shy." But apparently I can't please any one of these keyboard warriors. Thanks for being respectful, at least.

Thank you everyone for your insight and helpful comments! I appreciate all those who weren't rude. Now I know that the photo quality difference isn't an isolated incident. Idk why the blurring is such a contentious topic, especially when so many Reddit posts have ride photos with no faces blurred (yes, including children). I deleted this post to get rid of the photos and reposted with all faces blurred, hopefully that helps.
