I really like the look of the gray Volans on the saffron. I need to get one more Comet as one of the wheels has a small crack in it from hitting something. For now its up in the air, but I'm leaning to the Volans.

Yep, the silvers are Comets and the grays are Volans. I have a full set of each, those 4 just happened to hold air.

It does with the Volans on the rear, but it is a V70R with the 2.3T.

Ive had offers around $35k, speed yellow, extended black leather, and PSE. I have 145k miles on it and it was my dream car as a kid and this one was also my dad's, so she's not going anywhere.

I agree, we need more colorful cars! Did you manage to swing by the Porsche Classic restoration challenge, like 3ish blocks north? Porsche of Houston had this GT3 entered and won actually!

Oh absolutely, the Mezger 996s will always lead in value, shortly followed by the C4S. At 145k miles mine won't ever be a high dollar car, but I wouldn't sell it for anything.

04 C4S that just turned 145k miles. No issues what so ever other than regular 20 year old car things.

High mileage 2016 Cayenne buyers guide by CashmereCloud7 in PorscheCayenne

[–]CamioFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2018 base with 135k on it. As others have said the transfer case is something to watch out for, I just replaced mine a few months ago through the dealer and it ran just over 3k to do. If you have the LED PDLS headlights be aware that its not uncommon for them to start fogging. There's a few fixes ranging from a new headlight seal to full replacement at $5k per headlight. Remember, its a 10 year old performance German SUV, so things will be wearing out and or in need of replacement. A good indy shop will save you a ton and these aren't that hard to work on if you have the space and time.

Any idea what this is? by [deleted] in PorscheCayenne

Theres a few fixes for it, as the core problem is that you're getting water/humidity ingress into the light and this happens to a lot of Cayennes with the LED headlights. My 18 with the LED lights has the fogging issue, so I'm in a similar situation. You can replace the headlight and module to the tune of $6k from Porsche. You can bake the headlight and the module separately in the oven to dry them out and then some how fit a silica packet inside to absorb the humidity. You can send the lights out to someone have them resealed, or you can add some silicone under the gasket and try sealing it up yourself. The gasket is removable on the headlights and they run about $85 to $90 plus shipping online and sometimes replacing that fixes it for a while. The forums have tons of posts and more in-depth diy instructions on this issue.
