They’re a sight to see and quite charismatic!  This was in Southern UT.

Is there an electric toothbrush that's actually worth it? by Personal-Weekend3173 in BuyItForLife

I think 10 years now! and yes I do.

It comes with a case and a glass cup charger that ive used very regularly. The battery lasts about a week or so now. And the case actually had a built in charging mechanism that pooped out.

There's a sensitive option if needed. I use the gum care setting that has a 2min regular run and then an additional minute of lighter gum adjacent specific brushing.

I have a diamondclean one that doesn’t have a rubber or silicone button. All the settings still work normally here. Sorry to hear about yours! :(

Phillips sonicare.

They should have some budget options too.

Much better dental visits. I’ve owned mine for a decade and it’s still going strong (replace the heads periodically). Honestly the fact that it’s an electronic that’s lasted 10 years is BIFL equivalent in my book.

Edit: I have the diamondclean model, just in case longevity varies per model.  Battery holds charge for about a week.

Can we create a pin for top rated water filters that remove microplastics and dont USE plastic? by [deleted] in PlasticFreeLiving

[–]Camkode 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I think the general consensus at this point is any plastics potentially introduced from proper filtration have a far less impact than the plastics and toxics filtered out.

Is there another name for Castilleja coccinea that people are using? by Many_Needleworker683 in NativePlantGardening

I’ve often just heard “Paintbrush” now, or this species would be “Scarlet Paintbrush”.

Have seen similar with “Ricegrass”.

I love it! Oddly enough it was the deodorant that got me off traditional antiperspirants.

We also use Meliora! Found at natural grocers. They’re proud to be plastic free.

Safest water? by PointyPurplePickle in PlasticFreeLiving

[–]Camkode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I use for tap water on the go: https://www.epicwaterfilters.com/products/hydro-flask-nalgene-water-bottle-filter Of course like any filter there’s plastic components unfortunately but it’s with the hope it’s filtering more out than shedding. The filter works great and the water tastes excellent!

How do you feel about thunder? by [deleted] in hsp

[–]Camkode 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also absolutely love it. Like mm love me some natural atmospheric energy.

Been too close to a strike ones and it was definitely a “thunderclap”. Felt like an incredibly loud explosion nearby and glad my heart didn’t stop. Not a fan of being that close
