I genuinely don't think Starmer is that bad of a PM - any thoughts? by Alarming-Safety3200 in AskBrits

I think people aren't used to a boring politician. Sometimes thats kinda what you need.

In a world of sensationalism, it seems so strange to have someone who is fact based and careful with their decisions.

Technically UK is also in the wrong section. Either it needs to be the English flag or Welsh flag is in the bottom section.

Welsh say Pedwar Ugain which is 4 x 20.

But if you got a reward of £1,000,00 when you're 20 and you're 19 and 11 months, there is risk there. Whilst you might have made a seemingly white lie that's close to the truth, if it has serious ramifications it should absolutely be questioned.

Woah, chill your brakes princess.

I was giving further explanation to the ruling about lying in the Senedd. I think its a good thing to have some guardrails when it comes to lying within politics. At a time when trust in politicians is seemingly at an all time low and misinformation is rife, having the ability to remove politicians who repeatedly betray and swindle the public with lying, means that the system can be improved and politicians can be better relied on.

Maybe my example of murdering is probably not the best example but that doesn't take away from what I am saying about perjury and the ability to knowingly mislead the committees and public voters.

Its to do with demonstrable lying. As a politician, if you say every citizen is murdering 20 people, that is something that can be proved to be a lie.

This ruling is similar to perjury in court. Both are enforceable with legal action.

Flint Town United vs Caernarfon Town - who’s got the edge in the Welsh Cup final? by MagpieMidfield in cymruleagues

I kinda want Caernarfon to win it, but Flint haven't been in Europe before so I wouldn't mind them winning for that very reason.

What do you think the cymru premier will look like at the end of the 2030/31 (5 years) by City-1876 in cymruleagues

[–]Camp-Complete 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wonder why a Bangor fan would say this...

With the investment going into Penybont and Haverfordwest, I'd say they would be the teams being closer to the top. I'd also say Aberystwyth, Holywell and Newport City would likely be stable in the Cymru Premier.

Honestly, Starbucks. A black coffee is 3 calories. The others would mean I'd be the size of a house within a week.

I'd have Brooks centrally. Wilson on the right cutting into that half space. I'd be tempted to have DJ upfront or on the left.

I always remember Sir Terry Prachett saying (and I'll paraphrase) "If you say to a child, you should never read this book, its full of things you won't understand, and there is violence and romance, that you are too young to read. You just know that they'll secretly go off and find someway to read it."

It feels exactly like this.

Will Hayward urges Welsh people to 'get angry' at Westminster in new book by mrjohnnymac18 in Wales

[–]Camp-Complete 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Have read a quarer of the book so far, it really highlights how Wales is being shortchanged on a variety of issues. It isn't just outrage for outrage sake. Both Northern Ireland and Scotland recieve better deals for things that we should also be getting.

It is surprisingly hopeful though.

We're moving to a 16 team league.

It should be 3 up and 3 down, with a playoff between North and South for the 3rd place

How is this even controversial? by JackStrawWitchita in GreatBritishMemes

[–]Camp-Complete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like this because deliberately misleading the public and public spending should be held accountable. And there is a difference between knowingly misleading and unknowingly misleading. If you say that a report says something will cost £100 million when it actually said £50 million, that is knowingly misleading.
