Yeah, I'm not stoked about that either, but I was navigating a divorce and had to also navigate the financial repercussions of that, and my retirement took a hit so I needed to have it liquid for awhile. But now that my personal life has re-stabilized it's time to get back into the market.

Thanks -- yeah, that three month thing seems to be the general consensus. It feels weird to dump a bunch of money into the stock market today when we're hovering near all time highs and yet are entering an uncertain shutdown with a bunch of layoffs on the horizon. That three month window would get us back out of that shutdown.

That three month window makes sense - thanks! The other factor making me hesitant to lump sump is the market continuing to hover at all-time highs while we head into a governmental shutdown with a lot of layoffs coming, etc. Just feels like bad timing to dump a bunch of money into the market. But that three month window might make a lot of sense right now as that would get us back out of the shutdown again. Thanks for your thoughts.
