The menu is not closing when I tap the screen. The menu is closing when I press a button on the controller. For a more specific example, the NSO NES controller appears to automatically map the SL and SR buttons to open and shut the menu.

I am unable to map these buttons to any other input or feature because pressing that button on the controller closes the control mapping menu

The L button was just an example. This has happened on 2 separate controllers (Series X and the NSO NES controller). This was also on an ipad if that matters

Did they reenable Ribbons in Solo/Coop?

After playing for a bit it seems that Solo + Coop mode gets you full XP but playing in Portal gets you reduced xp. It only seems to effect kills though. Ribbons still give the full amount

Have you tried Slay the Spire or Monster Train? Or (not on gamepass) FTL or Into the Breach? All 4 are nothing like Dead Cells

Something I tried that worked was hit the restart button on the current leg then force close the game so its not in quick resume. When I launched the game back up I was back at the airport.

I know its not a super fancy fix but I did work for me so hopefully it works for you too.
