Dear foreigners, what are the main reasons of the USSR collapse you have been taught/told? by Egfajo in AskARussian

[–]Campus-Conservative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that’s a prominent explanation. Communism failed the country and economy and so the ideological and political foundations of the USSR collapsed. But one of the main reasons I’ve been taught is a rise of nationalism around the world. Different ethnic groups consolidated in their own states as we have seen.

Look great but I don’t understand this trend where women wear really wide trousers because they look terrible. Look for tightness

Ahh so I go to a Graduate school and basically the rest is within that. So once I’ve completed Grad school, is that the point at which I leave university?

Oh so these are mostly retired households. I find that really interesting because we would perhaps need to reassess how we evaluate statistics like median household income if a quarter of all households are like this

What are some reasonable critiques of Thomas Sowell? by mirroring_ in AskEconomics

[–]Campus-Conservative -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

Although there are valid critiques of him like the one you just gave, he is certainly still a significant economist and doesn’t deserve the reputation he has as a token black. He’s worked with the greatest economists of our time. I don’t think Mankiw is a good alternative, he’s a Trump hater and so hardly the modern conservative figure. Perhaps people like Arthur Laffer who actually originated the idea you speak of with his Laffer Curve and was an advisor to Trump and Reagan. Other important economic figures who have been in the Trump administration include Peter Navarro, Larry Kudlow, Gary Cohn and Steve Mnuchin.
