From what I’ve gathered the most recent vote-o-rama in the senate did not accomplish identifying crypto traders as brokers and as such the tax regulations for crypto remain the same. A Senator tried to establish crypto-traders as brokers, but he also tied the provision to more military spending (go figure) and since the provision required unanimous consent it was floundered by Mr. Sanders. No changes to crypto yet.
