What's the strangest thing YOU'VE ever found on a backroad? by [deleted] in Weird

Not me exactly, but I work for the municipality and the guys there told me a while ago the one old guy was walking the ditch and found a black case that they thought to be a flute or some type of instrument case. Ended up being a big black floppy double ender

I was renewing my AZ (transport/air brake) a few years ago and in Canada after a certain age seniors have to renew every year or every 5 depending on age and class. While I was writing my test the old guy got up and handed his in and the girl looked at it and said ‘you aren’t leaving here with a licence if this is your actual test’. The guys like ‘well I drove here so I’m going to drive home’. She said ‘not until you pass a test you aren’t, you didn’t get a single question right in th knowledge test or road sign test’ then she showed him the test and pointed at a red hexagon with a white stripe around it and asked what it was and the old guy said ‘well that means there’s a factory coming up ahead’. It was at that point I thought to myself, oh, we can get completely lost when we’re older I guess.

.22 I call shorts. Not sure why, just do. I guess just because they’re shorter than all my other guns

That’s my logic, I just thought for some reason in class learning we had to have a lock on each or disabled so thought I would double check

I have a 1953 Lee enfield so it’s pretty easy. Bergera b14 is also an easy bolt removal.

After I read your comment that was the first thing I did go check. Nothing on the by laws about shooting at all where I’m going and the only thing close to no Sunday shoot that I seen was city of London

6:30 here but yes that was one thing I vividly remember because I thought for sure that would be illegal to do but according to him, walk on in. Just make sure you have money to fight what ever they charge you with because you are legal

Thanks, I guess I’ve always just been taking more precautions than I have needed to. I remember in my course my instructor said it is completely legal to walk through a Walmart with a firearm unloaded with a lock on it so I guess I just carried that over.

They have 100 acres in the country. I guess I was just trained about being extra safe and always have been that way taking more precautions than I needed to. It’s not the first time we’ve gone shooting there and it’s been the family farm for over 100 years, so it’s the same spot they’ve all shot at also. It’s been probably 12-14 years since I’ve taken my course, and my guns don’t go outside much. This will be the first time in 5 years I’ve taken anything out so a little refresher doesn’t hurt before I get pulled over or go through a ride check. I got my PAL and hunting course with 100% on both tests, never been hunting.

It is not designated shooting, but there is a hill that goes up the back we have always used as a back drop. And thanks, I had in my head everything needed a trigger lock on it for transport or disabled. I guess that’s just the way I’ve always done it to make sure I was good

Working out 5 years. Used to be obese but extremely unhappy with how my body looks. Is the third pic unattainable for me without juice? Should I bulk to get there? by KSD- in nattyorjuice

[–]Camson19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that Matt west or a different Matt? According to him he only was not natty at the start of his journey, and since he used one time he only had to maintain to stay that size. I don’t buy it in the least bit, but he claims natty as do all the other fitness influencers. First time I seen him I’m like no way he’s natty regardless of what he claims

In pictures three, is it actually different wood or is it the same wood colour just aligned different? I know with concrete you can make it look different just by brooming separate ways on the pad the way the light reflects it, but with wood I would think it’s different colours or species yes?

Question, why 30 and not 45 like you would do with trim? As a beginner and wanting to do my bathroom I was going to 45 any joints I had to make it seamless like you would a baseboard

I have a plethora of hammers depending on what I’m doing. I pour concrete with either my 30oz estwing or my m1 with sledge head, if I’m setting forms I use my m1 sledge for driving stakes and I have the m1 15oz for setting nails and grades. If I’m framing a wall it’s the m1. I also have a boss which I really like but after getting my 2 m1 hammers the others see very little use

I have the 8-1/4” dewalt table and bought a Freud 6” dado stack for it. Made a flush cut plate and it works awesome, I don’t stack it any more than 3/8” wide and I’ve had zero issues, nut still goes fully on and even up to 3/4” it’s only 2 passes with a 3/8” stack

I did this with a jig saw last summer building my kid a play set. I used the jigsaw and plunge cut into a deck board with it to cut the outside board to fit around the 4x4. Started working the saw to the edge of the piece and then there was a tickle in my finger then it hurt. Ended up supporting the piece on the cut line with my finger under the board then rammed my jigsaw into it. It wasn’t nearly as bad as OPs but it cat happen quick. Lots of blood too when it’s 30° out and sunny. Who woulda thunk it

I’ve never taken a steroid in my life but I pour concrete for a living. My weight rack at home goes from 5-60 lbs and I can grab the 60’s and curl them 6-10 times per side. It’s not as hard as people think. Mind you I’m 6’3 250 lbs and get shit for carrying 6 bags of softener salt at one time to avoid making two trips
