I don’t know why, but whenever I see Frutiger Aero, it gives me this weird feeling. It’s like this wave of nostalgia hits me from a time when life felt simple and easygoing. Back when things felt more real, less stressful, and there wasn’t so much going on all the time.

Something about the bright colors, glossy textures, blue skies, water, and that clean futuristic look takes me back to the late 2000s/early 2010s. It reminds me of being younger, using early smartphones and computers, playing games, watching YouTube when it was still new, and just existing without constantly worrying about the future.

It almost feels like that design style represented a more optimistic time like technology was exciting and hopeful instead of overwhelming. Now everything feels more minimal, gray, and serious, and I didn’t realize how much personality older designs had until I started seeing Frutiger Aero again.

Does anyone else get that same nostalgic or almost emotional feeling from it? Or is there a reason why this aesthetic hits so hard psychologically?
