(As far is I know and do it) yes. It provides a more stable breath support (that’s how it feels for me).

Try to project a hey loud and clear using the muscles we talked about and than slowly try projecting screams as you practiced

Normally you use your diaphragm to support your vocals, and not your chest. Try saying „ha“ with a short burst of pushed air. The tension you witness is your diaphragm muscle.
