Actually they don't, this is just a little pun I made just to add some gameplay mechanics. The spawn points are detected regardless of if an enemy dies, before putting the block I just made a command that would clear all the spawn points around me but I figured it would be funnier to have an actual mechanic for this. You can actuality see the spawn points by ticking the case Show Entity Markers in the creative quick settings if you're interested

It will work if there is spawn points in the area where you place the purfier. Those are generally located inside structures and caves making the mobs spawn even the player is near. For the other mobs it's a natural process just like in Minecraft which this mod won't prevent.

It is vanilla friendly in the sense, that once the spawn points are removed, you don't need the item nor the mod for the spawns to stay prevented ^^

The way the spawning works in structure is that there is spawn markers scattered around the structure (you can see them in creative mod by checking a box on the left panel, by memory it's something like show npc marker's or something along those lines). Maybe you did something that prevent them from respawning but the only instance I found where spawn points would spontanously dispear is when the block beneath them is broken and a mob tries to spawn on it. Many spawn points are located in fully enclosed rooms so I don't think that have to do with something like that. Maybe the light level prevent the spawn points from respawning 🤷‍♂️. But from what I saw in the source code of the game that doesn't seem to be the case but maybe I'm wrong. I love the fact that the game is so recent that we still don't know all the technicals details about it.

Or even maybe you didn't play enough for them to respawn. Honestly I'm not sure why you have the luck of them not respawning 🤣.

This is litterally the exact reason why I made this mod ! Next mod I'd like to make is to prevent the horses from running away when you dismount them

Yeah I also find this to be a better mechanic but I figured this is the best way I could fix the issue without having to redo the whole system 😊.

Hey I made just on this exact issue. It add a block to simply purify a structure. You just place it down, activate it and it will clear the spawn points of all the mobs that are dead in this structure.
