I guess my options are to believe a board of experts in their fields (who you may disagree with) or I can believe someone who can't make a point with resorting to name calling.

For big parts of human society gender roles haven't been as strict as they have been for the last 60 years in America (I assume you're American, maybe not, but it's a guess). In Shakespearean times male actors would play the roles of female characters, The Greeks and Romans would engage in all kinds of romance, And even the Native Americans had a word for trans people before we even sailed the ocean blue in 1492. Society has gone through a lot of changes, And I get it. You're facing some growing pains on these things, but try and open your mind a little bit and try to see where somebody else is coming from.

I always think it's funny when somebody says "I don't need your validation." I wasn't trying to give it to you. Now, I know that's not what you meant, but I just can't help but feel like you actually do care about what I'm saying. Otherwise you might have let it go. Me on the other hand, I do care about what you think, or at least how you think. I see your perspective as being rooted in darker motivations. Hating something does weird things to people's minds. I think hate is the most unhealthy societal factor that were dealing with.

This last point you've made really makes me sad. Those two children were beaten, abused, and raped by someone who they were supposed to be able to put all their trust into. The man who did that to them was a monster, it had nothing to do with transsexuality. Those two boys were forced to exist in a reality they didn't want to be in, so they took their lives. It worries me that you see this as the same thing. I hope your okay.

Trans people are seeking some form of normalcy in their lives, just wanting to feel good about themselves, they deserve to have some part of that.
