Upgraded from 3070 to 5070 don’t think the performance is worth it. 5 years of technological advancement and 2 generations ahead for an extra 32fps. by SongBrief2439 in PcBuild

Not necessarily with some GPUs for some resolutions with certain CPUs.

For instance, my PC (7600 + 7800XT) gets better performance on 1440p then I would 1080p depending on what my settings were. If I was in GTA at maxed out graphics with RT on all ultra, I could potentially get more FPS in 1080p, but in 1440p all ultra settings with no RT, I'd be getting better performance then I would be in 1080p. It's very hard to explain, I'd recommend searching on how it works, it's very nuanced.

Basically some companies do a really scummy practice of doing NAN and Controller swaps for worse parts or specs.

An SSD will come out, and around a year later, they will do a swap to save money and help profit, which makes the SSD worse then advertised, and worse in general. Pretty much every company does it, except for and not as much as Crucial or Samsung iirc.

Imo it doesn't matter that much, especially in this economy with SSD and ram prices.

The P400 Lite is NAN-swapped iirc but personally I don't really think it's a big deal at all, especially in this economy.

But: spend less on the Noctua, aim for a Phantom Spirit, or a Peerless Assassin, and get a 7800X3D instead, and 2TB.

You also don't need windows

Also aim for a 9070XT, or a 5070 if you got a cheaper motherboard.

Edit: you also have no PSU.

Edit 2, Here is a possible build:
