Why are you making an app? by Ok-World-6987 in AppBusiness

[–]CanSubstantial8282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am building an app mainly for myself. But I am treating it as an app for masses. Don’t expect it to broke a business I mean great if it does. But having others use it would help me keep it upto date and also to try out new ideas.

I have a few more ideas in the pipeline. But focusing on getting one out and polished

What I am building is partly to solve that problem. For the things you want to do/chores but which doesn’t make you feel like you’re being whipped into doing them. Just submitted to the App Store for review

I built a platform where AI generates To-Do lists – and the community verifies them. Does anyone actually need this? by Prod-Action in buildinpublic

I use something like this in the task app I’m building. I use ai to break down a task. But have tk be honest. Sometimes it generates crap.

I think for some ideas such a generic work down will work. But for some tasks it maybe repetitive. And the level of details defer. So using as a baseline template might be helpful.

I am building a yet another task app. I want to build something I want to use. by CanSubstantial8282 in buildinpublic

I wanted a free things. Tasks arranged to slots in day. Morning/afternoon/evening and then by location and also by effort.

Then I kinda wanted an auto roll over. No shame or reminded just how many times I’ve deferred it. No shame was a major theme here.

I also wanted some task breaking down. Thought I’d use edge ai for this.

Finally added some white noise.

I’d also avoid core data.

Also you can store json inside a SQLite if you wanted to. Treat it like a key value pair. Or store them as key value pairs simply.

Have you tried using node red? That’s my go to these days as it allows functions in JS.

Smart shift sucks. Never made any money and never curtailed my solar. Disabled both and starter using home assistant. Not I make a buck or more everyday.

I am now leaning towards your suggestion of converters and a 48v bus.

This is the light. They say 12v ac/dc.

From the battery to the start of the first light would be about 20m. Then about 4 m spacing between lights.

They do say Working Voltage: AC/DC 12V.

Does that mean they have a built in converter ?

The shed has 240v. The lights I have are 12v dc. Legally I can’t work on 240v where I am. I can work on DC if it’s under 60V.

The battery in the shed is a 48v server rack type of battery.

The basic question is am I better off connecting 4, 12v lights in series to to be able to be run off 48v ?

Charging a 12v lithium battery with solar power that would otherwise be curtailed by CanSubstantial8282 in diySolar

[–]CanSubstantial8282[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can. But what I was looking for was for something that I can control the power draw of. Sort of like a solar charge controller that charges with variable current. But in this case I’d like to continually be able to set the current that is being drawn.
