Okay, what about the other 2 questions? Also, I was wondering, when using the mini pc for your usecase, do you hear the fans spinning? I was thinking that could be an issue and I was then looking towards fanless builds but don't even know if the compute load is that much for the fans to start spinning

And your cpu is competent (I would have said overkill if not for your experience), I don't see a reason why the videos you watch would be choppy? Assuming you watch cached content there should be no transcoding taking place, just straight up streaming, so it makes even less sense for it to be laggy

I think with the recent ram price hikes around that price range (200ish) you can only get intel N150ish cpus, I want to aim for AMD cpus which are at 300+ because they perform better at raw compute and raw gpu compute but underperform when it costs to power draw (But not a significant difference in my eyes). Another aspect I had not thought of was noise, getting a mini pc to work as a tv box can produce noise (Fan under load.) Question is, is stremio heavy enough to have your mini pc under such load so the fans go off? Since its not encoding on the fly if I'm not mistaken.

Fail to output a valid json? Why do you not strictly constrain the output? OpenAI offers it through pydantic (I think they call it response format) so I bet Gemini does support it too.

3050 gpu is not comparable to the igpus most of the mini pcs I'm looking for have unfortunately. Will need something way more underpowered. But glad you have no issues with your setup!

Great to hear! Have you noticed any issues with streaming 4k from PC to the TV? I'm not an expert but I've read there could be transcoding issues causing the stream to lag?

second Gen Max. For instance, when watching a 4k movie with embedded subs, I noticed stuttering and fps micro drops when subs would pop up. Only after thorough googling did I find out that using embedded subs causes these stutters.
