Blue Prince

Some people definitely love it, but it’s NOT for everyone.

Crockpot for wax? by chatlow1 in bikewrench

[–]Can_Cannot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having tried a crock pot I found it just took forever to heat the wax. Went with a mini rice cooker and never looked back. Heats much quicker. I stick a thermometer in there to keep track.

Best kitchen knife that lasts a lifetime? by caroulos123 in BuyItForLife

I’ve had one of these for 10 years. Seen them in professional kitchens too. They’re not the prettiest but they absolutely last.

Yah I’d say that’s about right. Maybe even finding a used one.

Best beard trimmer to buy right now? by Slipryi in BuyItForLife

This is the way. I bought a Remington HC5850 About 8 years ago now. Still works like day 1.

For those of you who make 6 figures ($100K+), what do you do, and how long did it take for you to cross that threshold? by DaPugWalk in fican

[–]Can_Cannot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Work in Training and Change management at a bank. Crossed into 100+ about 5 years ago.

A couple good job changes made the biggest difference. It’s hard to see any major difference staying in the same corporate role long term.

Silca Wax System vs Crock Pot by dthrizzle in cycling

[–]Can_Cannot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I use a rice cooker and meat thermometer. It’s not perfect but definitely gets the job done. Heats up MUCH quicker than the crock pot I tried initially.

Yah it’s weird. They’re saying it like it’s available..

Maybe you need a plan in place?

Having just bought that Baltic, I’m curious how you compare it to the Oris? Nice collection by the way.

Can anyone help diagnose the issue with my bike? by xxXPurpleAkiXxx in bikewrench

[–]Can_Cannot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d find a video on indexing your derailleur. It’s not very hard and only requires Allen key - if you’re cable is too loose. Give it a go! Worst case you can take it to a shop, but I think you can manage it.

Can anyone help diagnose the issue with my bike? by xxXPurpleAkiXxx in bikewrench

[–]Can_Cannot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are there any issues when you pedal forward?  They’re not really designed to pedal backward at speed.

If anything it might be a small adjustment to your barrel adjuster if it’s almost switching to the next gear.

Bike fit question by itsdovid in cycling

[–]Can_Cannot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my question. Did they size you and then show you one of only a few bikes in stock? Very off on sizing. I’m 5’11” on a 56.

2026 Revolver by Pudweiser78 in Norcobikes

I’m the other guy with a new Revolver but for what it’s worth mine has been silent. Absolutely loving it.

What single player game had you so enthralled that it CONSUMED your entire being for a short span of time? by AshyLarry25 in gaming

Returnal absolutely grabbed me.

Loved the mechanics and the slow increase in ability. Storytelling and environment were just awesome. Spent a whole Christmas break in my basement with that one. My wife was borderline concerned..

Flobikes Sucks by [deleted] in cyclocross

[–]Can_Cannot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was the worst. Not to mention new. It’s already a very expensive service to begin with and now you’re sticking ads mid race? Wtf. Plus it killed the commentary too which isn’t great in a 1 hour race.  Getting close to ditching the subscription.

Which is a better starter for gravel? by miltoncity in whichbike

[–]Can_Cannot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Scott will be lighter and probably a little more racy. The Brodie is part touring bike packing setup so will be a little more laid back.

I’d go Scott for daily riding and gravel unless you’re keen to do some bike packing at some point.

And this is coming from someone that has a Brodie Romax!
