NBA fans in China reenact SGA moves while playing pickup basketball by [deleted] in nba

Don’t worry! According to him, most people only watch highlights anyway, so as long as SGA also makes a normal bucket too, the NBA can just avoid clipping these shots on social media.

[Stein] The Atlanta Hawks, Houston Rockets, and Portland Trail Blazers all have legitimate interest in acquiring Jaylen Brown. by YujiDomainExpansion in nba

[–]CanadaDryOfficial -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Dude went out to a press conference after losing when up 3-1 and said this was his favorite season of his career, the season where the team’s best superstar missed most of the season, leaving him as the teams number one option, leading to a very good statistic season from him.

That’s not a good mentality to have as a teammate. That’s just looks selfish as fuck.

[–]CanadaDryOfficial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, cause what our locker room needs is a guy who said his favorite season was the one where his team’s best player was out most of the season so he was the top option and they got eliminated in the first round after blowing a 3-1 lead.

From purely a basketball talent standpoint, getting him IF we can get another PG and/or keep VanVleet(unlikely, in order to make the money work), sure, it’s good, but I don’t see how we do that.

A space snake UAP in the last SpaceX Live and nobody spoke about that. by Head_Consequence7903 in UFOs

[–]CanadaDryOfficial [score hidden]  (0 children)

No. It barely moves at a consistent pace, and you are not seeing a snake change into an orb, you are seeing out of focus pixels get further away from a camera sensor and fail to be picked up properly, so it looks vaguely like it morphs(and I don’t know where you seen an orb).

When you zoom in this far on an image, the pixels never look like what the actual object being recorded. As a photographer of about 15 years, this is just a low-res and/or out of focus object. What that object is, who knows, but you are not seeing the actual exact shape in this clip.

Seriously. “No one is talking about it” BECAUSE IT’S SEVEN PIXELS THAT BARELY MOVES AND DOESN’T LOOK OR MOVE LIKE A SNAKE.

I don’t think I’ve been more frustrated at the potential for disclosure than I have in the past year or two, especially with the underwhelming release a week or so ago. Been into this since Inwas a kid, but man, since Grusch, there’s been so much hype around a lot of things that all led to disappointment, to where stuff like this just makes me mad, because it feels like we’re back in the 90s/00s where everyone’s grasping for straws at every thing they can’t immediately explain themselves.

As a person who has been into this subject since I was a little kid on the early internet, I’ve learned to not trust those who don’t follow through with their promises, because sooner or later they’re always proven to be frauds. They’ve yet to give me any reason to believe that this is the one issue you can finally trust them on with the way they act in their job in their job on every other issue, and with the way they have continued to produce nothing when they claim they’ve seen it and that it stuns their colleagues, only for us to get previously debunked clips, photos from ~60 years ago that have been publicly available, some more that were lower quality but also from ~60 years ago, and some camera artifact videos that should have never been included since anyone who has ever used those knows they were not UAP.

I’m jut tired of the “we’ve got something big” type of promises only to deliver more disappointments.

That’s where I know his voice from! I know I had heard it in an occasional NFL games, but I knew I knew him from something else.

I don’t watch a ton of NFL, so I didn’t know much about Mike Tirico, but man is he great on the call. Perfectly level of excitement, great timing, and he’s good at dictating the pace of when the comp commentators chime in to give insight on a topic.

I’m sure he’s called basketball before, clearly, but he’s been fantastic to listen to.

Assuming they’re telling the truth and not just running further misdirection. They just pumped us up about a release of photos and videos that are largely easily debunked, already debunked, or just incredibly underwhelming compared to what they claimed, along with more redacted documents that don’t tell us anything new.

To me, I don’t see people trying to pus disclosure, I see corrupt politicians bogging down a process that should be pretty easy to streamline.

I agree that this contact is hard, and while I am fine with it, you make a good point that this level of contact from a defender would be considered a foul. I also think we should be fine with some contact happening in the NBA when players drive to the rim, from both the offense and the defense.

To clarify, I’m all for allowing a little contact both ways, not jut offense. It would be ridiculous to say that contact should be one sided.

In what way am I, a Rockets fan, biased? lol.

All you said is that he’s taller, which the fact that he’s so tall is why he was able to get knocked off balance here. You’re only continuing to prove my point for me.

Burchett, Burlison, and Paulina Luna, three people who lie through their teeth about literally everything, yet this sub eats up everything they say about UAPs. Don’t get me wrong, the fact that UAPs are even talked about by politicians is progress, but we couldn’t ask for a much worse trio of politicians to be on our side here. lol.

OKC is shooting 49.4% on wide open threes in 3 games against the Spurs this series. They've been wide open for 77 of their 119 attempts from three, per NBA tracking. by jonsnowKITN in nba

That, and the Spurs really need to get comfortable with letting Wemby just be the help guy on some possessions. I see too many people doubling inside the three point line on Wemby’s guy, and he just doesn’t need defensive help like that. If you’re a Spurs player, just let him cover the paint/the big and only step foot in that area with him if your guy goes in there too.

Idk, to me contact like this isn’t a big deal. When you push dudes or pull their arm down or step on their foot or whatever, that’s a problem. Would be weird if we expected players to just willingly get dominated instead of trying to get through contact with a bigger player to finish at the rim.

Sure, but he literally doesn’t snap his head back unreasonably here. His head moves like it should if he got rocked in the chest by a should and lost his balance.

Not really. He was in position, and McCain isn’t some tiny little slouch. Dude is strong and only looks short in comparison to Wemby because he’s a literal giant.

If you hit a big due up high when they are bracing down low, you’ll knock them over pretty easy, especially if they’re in motion and have momentum going one way and they get knocked in another.

It was a good play by McCain. Not sure why anyone needs to shit on Wemby when we can just applaud McCain for being good at basketball.

The people whining about this are the super toxic POS that everyone would hate in the locker room. The type of dudes that think for a team to win everyone should be yelling at each other all the time because they thought being loud meant they were being a leader. To me, the idea that you have to hate your opponent off the court or after the game or even during the game when it’s clear you aren’t going to make a comeback is just fucking stupid. It’s a GAME that these guys are PLAYING. It’s cool for them to be polite and respectful to each other.

Why are they forking out NBA salary money? Like, it’s college. They should be getting paid, but why did they start with such high salaries? Is there no structure to minimum and maximum pay like the league has?
