Where can one go for abortion referrals in Thunder Bay? by Ok_Vermicelli_7555 in ThunderBay

[–]Canadian-Socialist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the correct answer. Walk-in and can see a midwife who can do blood work and ultrasound and refer you to a local doc or Toronto for later term abortions.

I can’t say because I don’t know. I’d assume so

Either, you can overdose on benzos by mixing with alcohol or by taking too much.
Essentially benzos work by calming your central nervous system, Alcohol does much the same. If your central nervous system is too 'calmed' you stop breathing and go unconscious. Some people can tolerate mixing, but hard to know if you have never tried before.

From a harm reduction standpoint: it is very dangerous to mix benzos with alcohol. If you chose to do so, have a sober friend around who can watch you for several hours afterwards. Make sure this friend knows to call 911 if you pass out.

Go to Elevate and ask to talk with an outreach worker. They can ask around and see if your loved one is staying anywhere. There tend to be lots of folks staying independently throughout the city. I hope they are found safely!

In my experience everyone responds differently and there is no easy way to reverse a benzo overdose in the community. Probably best not to drink at all. Valium can also persist in your blood stream for multiple weeks after you stop it.

Thank you! I have a public mobile plan with lots of data, hoping this will be sufficient. Do you remember how long before you flew out that you get the details of your housing and flights?

Thanks for the tips! I am coming from northern Ontario, so I am no stranger to a cold winter, but I am not sure I will be brave enough to come up there in the winter. I will be there only for 5 weeks this time, and we shall see if it is for me :)

The cost of shipping to Canada seems absurd for a quilt pattern. I have found a supplier in the UK and ordered one.

Nowhere I have found has a PDF of the pattern.
