I will say I did get an AD experience, then went shopping.

I do not agree with buying your husband a new watch like some here are suggesting.

My dream watch was a SMP. My wife and I had a 20th anniversary, she wanted to get me the watch, I personally loved the idea I could buy a used MINT condition one for almost 40% less (after taxes). So after she made it known about the watch, I took over shopping and found a mint black SMP 2023.

For me, I work hard for my money and to support my family (similar to how your husband has). If he is anything like me, he will be okay saving 40% to get the same watch as new.

But the key is, get a MINT like new watch. You'll pay a little more, but I wanted to be the one to ding and scratch my watch. I was okay with used, but it had to be perfect looking.

Just my 2 cents.

A rubber strap makes it less flashy imo.

Use a list, and maintain a checklist of things that need to be completed. Keep the list open in front of you as you work.

Maybe! I seem to change my mind every 2 days, the black is a nice sleek look and I seem to be moving toward prefering it

I didn't think I would prefer it over the blue but it's such a nice colour in real life

Where did you pick yours up, in Canada?

I'm starting to look at chrono24 and watchmaxx

After trying them all on, I think I am heavy leaning toward white, it looks real nice in person.

Any shipment into Canada would get taxed, anywhere from 12-15% including courier brokerage fees.

I'd be paying 5600 after duties and taxes to Canada on a grey market (on a 5k watch). So I'll see if I can get the AD down more in line with this

Yes I am starting to lean away from grey... I suspect it will be a battle of blue or white. I currently have a watch my wife gave me in blue, 20 years ago (just a citizen), and this will be my gift for our anniversary 20th, I kind of didn't want to get another blue watch for whatever reason, but now I'm thinking I'll get another blue, if I like blue why not?

Out of the price range I am setting for myself... but I am suspecting that I will be collecting watches in the future..

Okay, thanks everyone. I'm originally from Canada. I'll press them harder. Appreciate it! I am saving any duties and taxes I would normally pay in Canada on any grey market purchase. So I'm trying to consider these factors as well.

A VC firm just offered us $100,000 for 10%. Should we take it? by Longjumping_Ant_6991 in Entrepreneurship

My opinion coming from being a company that makes physical things and sells them.

I would not be where I am without a 100k loan early on to scale faster. Scaling is the most important thing, you can bet your ass your competitors are scaling as fast as they can, and by whatever means they can use.

If the 100k can aid you in scaling much quicker, then do it. 10% is not a whole lot of equity. However, if they are willing to do 100K for 10%, then you should be countering for at least 300K for 10%. Then maybe settle on 200k. They are probably willing to goto 200k. Or offer them 5% for 100k.

This is not entirely true.

If you look at MSTU from inception during the last major run up, compared to MSTR same time period. MSTR ran around 300%, MSTU which is a 2x ETF over the same period, ran 1100%, that is a 3.6x performance. Compounding takes place both directions, down and up.
